The basic idea is the same as the game in the movie forum, except replace a screenshot of a movie with a clip of a song, either performed by the forumer (via humming, guitar, voice/lyrics, pan flute, whatever, any musical instrument is A-OK) or a clip procured through other means( the actual song chopped up into clips is fine too, just don't lobel it) hell, you can use Mario Paint if you want to. VG music is acceptable as well. To start this off:
EDIT: Some rules added to pick the pace up a bit:
As of 6/17/10 any correct guesses made with the use of "Hints" don't count, the idea here is to use your superior musical knowledge to discern what song the audio clips are from. Unless, of course, there's some compelling reason to keep hints as part of the game, let me know.
If no one gets the song from the first clip you have three options:
1) Put up another clip of a different part of the song, if everyone is stumped with the second, you can do one of the next two (though they can be done after the first clip if you wish)
2)Reveal the song you were playing and put up a clip of a new song*
3)Reveal the song you were playing and pass the turn.
*)can only be done once per turn, so if no one guesses correctly the original song, (doesn't matter if you did 1 or 2 clips of the song), you can only put up one song after that, more to the point, in a single turn you can only post 2 songs (4clips max, 2 per song), in the unlikely event everyone is stumped on the second it's an automatic reveal and pass.
ALSO, I'm thinking there should be a time limit of sorts, maybe 1.5 - 2 Days per clip, if it remains with no guesses or updates from the poster of the clip the turn is up for grabs, let me know what you think.

Damn, I really like this idea, but I'm stumped. It's not Megadeth, is it? I'm hearing some later-era Megadeth in that first riff.
I will say this to get this thing moving along, it's not Megadeth, nor Metallica, you're in the neighborhood but not the ballpark.

It's been long enough to where I'm pretty sure everyone is stumped, the song was Judas Priest - Heroes End, off of the Stained Class Album. Next Song:

I'm using the mic in the cam, and it's pretty much directional, so I have to crank the amp up really high if the cam is pointed at me, plus it picks up the pick noises too ( the tchk thck tchk sound), so I pointed it at the speaker to pick up the amp better and to hear less of my picking the strings.

Yeah, that's definitely it, or at least I'm 90% sure. I was going to say that yesterday but had to run off to go partake in some misadventures.

Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love=Van Halen. My turn! I'll post a video tomorrow, as it's one in the morning and I'm quite tired.
Also, was "on that note" supposed to be a pun?

The first one is meant to be a joke, first one to get the joke gets mad props. HINT: The fact that I'm using a pick is significant to understanding the joke, because I rarely use a pick when playing bass.

Very well, give it one more day after I post my hints.
HINT FOR #1: "Oh-EE-Oh. Yo-Ho! Oh-EE-oh. Yo-Ho!"
SECOND HINT FOR #2: Biscuit tin drums and socio-political themes permeated the album that this song appeared on. 7th track on the album.
HINT FOR #2: Third song on this band's debut album.
SECOND HINT FOR #2: The part I'm playing was originally played on guitar.
THIRD HINT FOR #3: When I found out the singer for this band read my blog, I almost jizzed my pants.
