So check out this article:

The short version is that this blog post became the #1 search result for “Facebook login”, and as a result hundreds and hundreds of Facebook users showed up and left comments to the effect of, “i hate this new facebook page how do i log in?” The questions repeated over and over. Hundreds of people obviously just type “facebook login” and take whatever result the search engine gives them. The level of ignorance and misunderstanding was so staggering that for a couple of minutes I actually thought the whole thing was some sort of 4chan prank. |
Another great article regarding the same incident:
http://quietbabylon.posterous.com/i-have-some-opinions-about-the-rww-facebook-l
I really don't think there are any words for this level of ignorance. I mean, I understand that not everyone wants to learn the ins and outs of a computer, and that they want shit to "just work"...but give me a break. There has to be SOME level of effort or knowledge on the part of the user, or they get no sympathy from me. Good grief.

That's sad. But it also reflects the sad reality that search engine algorithms are poorly designed and are currently programmed to favor blogs.

People just be looking for a thing to protest.

Nothing new. Over 75% of the people on the internet are either teenage know-it-alls or pretentious basement dwellrs who think they rule the internet. It's good to know that some communities, like this one and CoolROM forums don't burn people at a cross for being different.

They're the same people who don't notice that phishing pages that look slightly different from the real Facebook have totally different URLs. Not that that makes this any better.
Did anyone try to report this page as a phishing attempt?

breaking news. the sky is blue. |
This is actually an incorrect assumption, the sky is not "blue" persay, the sky only appears blue in color to the human eye due to the gas in our atmosphere absorbing the "blue" short wavelengths of light beams travelling from the sun to the earth. This blue light is then radiated in different directions causing us to see blue in every which direction over top of us therefore giving the sky an appearance of a "blue" color. It is important to note that when you look closer to the horizon the sky actually starts to pale quite a bit and almost appears "white" in color, this is due to these light beams having to pass through more oxygen to reach your eyes.
As the sun begins to set, the light must travel farther through the atmosphere before it gets to you. More of the light is reflected and scattered. As less reaches you directly, the sun appears less bright. The color of the sun itself appears to change, first to orange and then to red. This is because even more of the short wavelength blues and greens are now scattered. Only the longer wavelengths are left in the direct beam that reaches your eyes.
The sky around the setting sun may take on many colors. The most spectacular shows occur when the air contains many small particles of dust or water. These particles reflect light in all directions. Then, as some of the light heads towards you, different amounts of the shorter wavelength colors are scattered out. You see the longer wavelengths, and the sky appears red, pink or orange.
In conclusion I must admit, some of this was very quickly researched, part of this was copied and pasted from a science 101 website and all of this is here because at 12:46 AM MST an insomniac has nothing better to do then sit here and contribute as little to this conversation as possible with as many words as possible. But i did feel the need to trump any conspiracy theories involving the sky being blue, green, purple, magenta, fuscia or even a chocolate brown before this just got way out of hand. The sky is clearly not blue.... assholes
Oh... and if I ever feel the need to log into facebook not on my computer where its conveniently bookmarked I just go to the site directly... facebook.com, not that hard if I can figure this shit out anyone can

It's a place where people congregate and talk. Sort of like a bar, but with Farmville and without beer.
