Nothing as of yet. I just have to hammer out the template and get some content. Although I am gathering up writers, if you'd like to contribute something.

OK, so I did that, too.

What am I going to put on there? Random shit, mostly. I'm not focusing on any specific era of pop culture (what am I going to focus on? The 90's? Now? Fuck that, I'll take everything). As far as contributions go, you can write anything from a movie review to a retrospective on the most impressive moustaches of 1941. Of course, everything is subject to my approval and editing (for grammar and spelling, not content. I'm kind of a stickler when it comes to mechanics).

I'd be working on the site looks and finalizing the template now, if it weren't for these damn midterms. It's all I can do to catch a moment of downtime. The first article is going to be a chronicle of my spring break trip with my friends next week, so the site will be fully up and running shortly after that.

I plan to screw around with DreamHost's email settings, so I should have an email address up in a bit.

I guess my "first article" kind of fell on it's ass, since I put up some stuff before writing anything on my Neo Geo. Anyway, there is now content in the articles section, and I will go ahead and open the floor for contributions. A few things:

-It can't be posted anywhere else. If you have a blog or something, and want to link the article on the site, sure, but I don't do reposts.
-I'll take anything, but I hand-edit everything. I don't edit for content or profanity, but don't complain if I correct grammar or spelling (I tend to be a stickler).
-To counter the previous, anything written in textspeak will get you Brightslapped by me.
-Please submit articles in either a word doc or a .txt file (Preferably the .txt, since I'm going to have to add HTML markup to it anyway, and everyone has something that can save .txt files). If you want to include relevant images, feel free. The general template I've been going with (at least for game reviews) has been to have the cover image at the top, and then two or more screenshots of the game, depending on article length. If you don't provide images, I'll try to find relevant ones for you.

As long as the subject matter isn't too tentacle-rapey, I'm alright with them. Although, like I said, I'd rather not have content that is available elsewhere, so it would have to be new material (or at least unreleased material).

I think I might have to come up with a better system for categorizing these, though. A generic "articles" page won't cut it.

Yeah, stuff like that would work, too. Damn, Sly was a great series, and an underrated one too.
