I first saw the Johnny Bravo one being advertised on Boomerang, and I was stunned and very happy. Hopefully if these sell well, CN will release the rest of the episodes and other series like Dexter's Lab and Time Squad.

Oh, my God! This is so exciting! Very Happy

I loved both of these shows as a little kid.

Kinda funny they're doing Seasons. They tried Season releases with PPG, which was way more popular, gave up after Season 1, and did the whole series a couple years later.

I think there must be some data supporting releases whole series releases over individual seasons. They did the same thing with dr katz.

Yeah, Jeebus was pissed. He bought Season 1 and Season 2 of Katz, then suddenly the whole series was out, which I bought.

When a show is over, particularly long over, don't fucking cocktease us. Just release the whole series at once. Unless it's something like SNL.

Speaking of SNL...did they ever release anything after the first 5 years? I can't see them releasing the Charlie Rocket years...maybe I don't know about it.

Always loved Courage, makes me feel VERY old when someone says they grew up watching it, since I think it came out when I was 15 or 16.

They've been doing one a year, around Christmas time. Which means I'll probably be long dead of a cocaine overdose before they get to the glorious Carvey/Hartman/Myers/Sandler/Farley/Rock years.

One thing that always pissed me off...we never got a "Best of Norm MacDonald", yet we get one for Jimmy fuckin' Fallon.

I can answer both of those. A best of norm Macdonald is unlikely as he left on bad terms. A season release of ANY of the 80's is almost certainly not going to happen as Lorne Michaels had nothing to do with them and has disowned the episodes outside of a best of eddie murphy dvd.

Norm didn't leave on bad terms...in fact he came back and hosted a year later. His relationship with Lorne Michaels was always good up until the day he was fired by NBC, not Michaels.

I never said bad terms with Michaels. I said bad terms meaning brass at NBC, granted Don Ohlmeyer is gone but the combination of the previous bad blood and also the polarizing figure of Norm may inhibit it.

Norm was pretty universely loved by fans, listen to some of the ovations he got for Update...it's really hard to find anyone who got as close to what Update was supposed to be, outside of Miller and obviously Chevy. In fact, when they did a timeline of the show, they singled out Norm as being a key point as to why people tuned in during those times.

One of my favorite jokes Norm did on Update:

"Who are safer drivers? Men or women? Well, according to a new survey, 55 percent of adults feel that women are most responsible for minor fenderbenders, while 78 percent blame men for most fatal crashes. Please note that the percentages in these pie graphs do not add up to 100 percent because the math was done by a woman."
*laughter and boos*
"For those of you hissing at that joke, it should be, uh, noted that that joke was written by a woman, so-- "
*light laughter and confusion*
Now, you don't know what the hell to do, do ya? ... No, I'm just kidding, we don't hire women."
*laughter and applause*

Anyways enough with the thread hijacking...just thought I'd say why I feel it would be in good interest for them to do a Best of Norm MacDonald DVD.
