Is anyone watching this show? I'm already hooked. I'm not sure how it's doing in the ratings, but I hope it doesn't get cancelled without being resolved like some shows.

This show is awesome. Every episode has been very well done. But I also liked Traveller, and they canned that....

Yeah, Traveler, Invasion, etc. Jericho had closure but only because it was saved after originally being cancelled during season 1. The ending was thrown together after it was finally cancelled for good.
Good shows get cancelled. I just hope this isn't one of them. I will be pissed.

Shows that only a few people watch get canceled. Whether they're good or not is irrelevant when it comes to TV.

I get that part. What I don't get is why they aren't being watched. Jericho was cancelled once, saved by the fans with letters to the network, then cancelled again. Yet The Biggest Loser is in it's 8th season.

Well that's easy. Dumb people with no taste and short attention spans far outweigh intelligent people who know what's good.

This show is fantastic. Had to create an account when I saw this thread just to agree that I hope it isn't cancelled. Fortunately, I remember reading that the show is basically done in real time so that, in case the show doesn't make it to a second season, we'll have some resolution and see how April 29 actually plays out.
On a side note, did anyone catch the Julius Caesar reference? The strange woman tells Demitri he'll be killed on March 15 by his best friend. I'm sure it was fairly obvious, but I thought it was pretty neat nonetheless.

I actually didn't pick up on it right away and only noticed later on. I do like how they casually slipped that in.

I just heard that this show isn't getting a second season. That sucks because it's an awesome show, but I think they'll be able to tie it off in one season.

I am on the other side of the arguement here Vald. I think it is good this show isn't getting another season because I think it's a terrible show. I watched three episodes of it and couldn't take any more. If they'd focused on the cool sci-fi aspects of the flash forward/time travel thing, it could have been cool, but instead they kept it as a cliche, meandering character study of tired archetypes we've seen before.
Will the devoted family woman and wife cheat on her beloved husband as the flash forward showed? Under what circumstance could she do such a thing, and how awkward it is when she meets the very man she allegedly will cheat on him with! Blah, who cares?
I also thought it was lame that they repeatedly showed Fienne's completed bulletin board in the flash forward, but then each episode sort of focuses on where a particular note came from and bit by bit fills in the empty, present day board. We've already seen the completed board, so who cares how it got completed? And for God sake, stop with the flashbacks of moments we literally just witnessed 2 minutes ago!
Like I said, it would have been a much better show if they stayed away from the "serious" drama, the boring characters, and focused on the sci-fi action.

I watched the first part of the season of this show and bailed (I think it was like 6 episodes). I agree with a few of Panda's points. The focus seemed to veer off of what was interesting about the show. Also, Fiennes is a solid actor, but I though he sucked more often than not in this. "I WAS FREAKING LOADED, OK?!?"
I wound up laughing out loud at the end of one episode where there was this violent shootout to Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone". "Oh, how does it feel!??!" *Blam, blam, blam, blood splatter*. It fucking hurts, Bobby...really bad. Seemed way too surreal.
Great concept, poorly executed. Hopefully for the fans they can wrap things up nicely.
