Does anyone know of a worse genera than country. Some kind of obscure rap? Or maybe you think country isn't that bad... In that case that means they got to you and you're beyond saving.
Awwww, I love country. I really do. Not the obnoxious, recent country-pop, but REAL country.
As foe a worse genre, yes, there is: its called "whatever kind of retarded, obnoxious rap idiots blast out of their base speakers at 800 decibels when they're next to me at a stoplight."

new radio rap sucks for the most part. there are some decent rappers who sell out and make radio hits, rather than staying true to their original artistic vision.
new country sucks cornhole. give me old school hank williams & johnny cash country.
reggaeton can get annoying. real quickly.
most banda music can get annoying at times.
jennifer lopez is not a genre, but her music is fucking horrible

Post-hardcore. Worst genre in existence.
Also, crunk.
Also, whatever Insane Clown Posse is. I don't want to call them "rap" because they give the genre an even worse name than it already has.
Also, horrorcore, post-grunge, twee pop, and a good 80% of the music played in Hot Topic or displayed on t-shirts in Hot Topic.

Country is pretty bad. Also, I hate pop radio hits.
Dubstep. They don't even try to have song structures, and dear god the half time rhythms are like purgatory.
It's not rape if you rape everyone who accuses you.

Ambient. And the Post Punk that's more than eighty percent Ambient. Sometimes it's okay if I'm in the mood for it, but it's really boring.
Also, Country's great. All of it. Pop Country isn't good, per se, but it's still great music for when you aren't really paying attention to it. It gives you something to hum, and doesn't make you want to pay attention to it.

You all lose, clearly the answer is depressive suicidal black metal like Xasthur. I'd post a link, but YouTube hasn't been working with my Chrome. I mean, I like black metal, but the DSBM stuff sucks.

Has anyone noticed that Country and Rap are the same?
1. They are both ethnic music, that appeal to those who live in relatable lifestyles.
2. They proudly sing/rap about themselves. ("I'm a gansta"/"I'm a country boy")
3. They sing about their favorite cars and alcohol. (Lowriders, 40oz, Gin & Juice / Pickup Trucks, Whiskey, Beer)
4. They sing about the lifestyle. (Living on the streets, gangs, hustling, etc/Being a cowboy, Truck Driver, etc.)
Am I insane, or does anyone else see this?

Holy shit Knyte, good call! So that's why I hate both, unless they aren't about that!
Country can be ok. For example, when some country style guitar is put into a rock song.
Izzy Stradlin was the best at mixing the two genres.
Rap generally sucks all the time though. Still, nothing gets me more irritated than solo female vocalists. Whitney Houston, Maria Carey, Carly Simon, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion... please stop.

Don't you dare put Carly Simon in that line up! She get's a free pass for doing the Bond song "Nobody Does It Better". (Though, ironically, Radiohead did it better when they covered it.)

Back in the late 90s, they used to blast that song all the time into the Laser Tag arena we have in town. Every time I went there, I heard that song AT LEAST once, if not two or three times.

Top 40 country is garbage the same way as "hip-hop" today is the most worthless form of self-expression I've ever heard.
I really like bands that go into the country direction but aren't true country. When David Crosby left The Byrds and Gram Parsons came in, they created this awesome style of country that blows away the earlier hippy crap. Gram Parsons himself was phenominal. Ween's country album, while rediculous was actually pretty good. Beck did a few country songs early on that is some of my favorite stuff from him.
No, I don't think I will fuck Stummies.

Country is not so bad, although I prefer classic country like Johnny Cash & Willie Nelson. The new stuff is pretty bad but the music genres that are the worst to me would be:
Rap / Rock sucks something serious.
Also:
This is the soundtrack to hell, it goes well with playing faceball.

I never noticed this and I find it intensely amusing
Most country music irritates me. Especially ones that talk about how great and awesome it is to be American. I'm not anti-American or anything, it's just that some of it sounds so damn arrogant. Some country isn't that bad, though.

Whenever I'm in this situation, I feel the intense urge to put on some classical or orchestral music and just blast it.

I don't like the really pro-American songs, either. And like you said in IRC once, its weird how we get them... I mean, I really don't understand why the Canadian radio plays as many "U! S! A! U! S! A!" type songs as it does.

60's country is pretty good such as Conway Twitty, Hank Williams and Roger Miller.
"Lock Stock and Teardrops" is one of my favorite songs ever.

I have pretty eclectic tastes but I can't get into country. I can't say it's really that bad, it just doesn't click with me. The rap, pop, and emo genres are more on the extreme end for me and I can't stand all but about one in a thousand of their songs.
I've recently been listening to hip-hop and I'd have to say it's not bad, though the only artists I've listen to are DJ Shadow and Flying Lotus (which is probably more of an electronic feel overall).
