This is the 4th time they've taunted me with the "History International" channel by offering it to me for a week, then taking it away. I really don't understand why they keep thinking I'm going to upgrade, because I'm not. I mean that is one of the very few channels I would enjoy with the upgrade, but it's not worth like $20 more a month. Fuck you Dish Network! Your rates and channel offerings suck major balls, I'm going to Direct TV as soon as my contract is up!

I have Dish Network. I have absolutely no complaints about it.
My mom has Direct TV. She bitches about it regularly.
My dad has cable. I don't know what he thinks of it. He doesn't pay his bill.

I'm fine with the package I have, maybe I should elaborate a little more about what they do. First and foremost, they suck at helping us if we have a problem, we had to wait about 10 days without anything because they were supposed to come out and fix some problem with one of the cables or something, 10 fucking days. And they charged us for those days. Also, one of the remotes they gave us has never worked properly and they flat out refused to give us a new one unless we pay for it. Another thing that really bothers me that they're doing now, which never happened before was that it takes the Guide generator more time to update, as when I first had it, it would only update twice a month, now it updates twice a week. And Direct TV is cheaper where I'm located and I get more channels than I have with Dish Network. The cockteasing by offering me something for a limited time without my consent to begin with then taking it back really pisses me off.

Same thing happened to me with my DirectTV. For 1 week 2 times it gave me every channel. I mean every one, like the movie channels and everything. Those were 2 great weeks.

When I signed up with DirectTV back in the day at my old apartment, we had every movie channel for 3 months. It states that in the package, it's like a free preview thingy. Dish does the same thing now, giving us free previews of channels we don't have with our current package, in hopes that we will upgrade and spend more money. It's pretty standard practice.

I am happy with Comcast.
Especially with the new Xfinity package. Before I had Triple Play w/Encore + Stars + WWE Classics + Upgraded Internet + HD-DVR and was playing something like $180 a month.
I switchted to the Top Tier Xfinity package, and now have every channel Comcast offers, (something like 400), even faster internet (15Mb Up/7MB Down), and my bill dropped to $170 a month.
It seems like alot, but work comps $40 of it, because Internet connection is required for my job, so I get $40 reimbursed each month. So out of pocket I only pay $130, and can watch everything.
Though, sadly, I only watch like 7 cable channels on a regular basis. Mostly Wreslting (USA, Spike, WGN, MyNetwork TV, WWE On Demand.) Though, I am glad I just got HBO since "The Pacific" is awesome, especially in HD. The rest of my viewing is regular Network TV. (CBS - CSI & NBC - Law & Order:SVU, Fox - House)

I have DirecTV and I couldn't be happier. I used to be a customer of Dish Network, but dropped them because they are crooks.
