God, I fucking hate living in England. |
Except you are surrounded by girls with hot accents.
There is no such thing as a sexy accent in the US.

Well, the thing is, after you live here for a little while, you start to pick up on the differences between the dialects and it ruins the whole thing. For example, I live in Yorkshire and when I first moved here, I was like "wow, English accent = sexy", but after a few months, I realized there is no such thing as an "English accent." There are hundreds of different ones, and I started to hear all the little intricacies of the Yorkshire accent and even started speaking it myself, and it lost all of its power at that point.
Then you watch TV and can hear a different accent, say someone from Birmingham or something, and you go "Ew, what a horrible accent."
I guess what I'm saying is after you get used to it, it stops being sexy and even becomes annoying if someone has a particularly thick accent (which they do here in Yorkshire). In fact, I've had English people compliment me on my American accent, and I'm from California where we don't really have accents at all, so its the novelty that really makes an accent sexy in the end.
I have to say though, English women have the hottest bodies in the world, so that's definitely a plus.
