Original series will begin airing in January in a remastered format. A new logo has been designed for it along with new toys and merchandise. Not sure what the point in this is other than to give the poor children of today something good to watch. Hopefully they bring back more hit shows from the epic 90's. But if there is still a market for Power Rangers, no doubt the original series will bring in the most money.

The point is to make money off the existing tapes with as little effort as possible

Like when they added CGI Optimus intros to Transformers and called it G1?

2001, she died in a car accident. It should have been Billy.

I never watched that show, but always found it funny that the black dude played the black power ranger and the 'yellow' chick played the yellow power ranger.

I know. I always wondered why they never got a Native American to play the Red Ranger. It would have been just so *perfect.*

I always thought Jason was Native... maybe just slightly Hispanic? At the very least, they could've given him a tomahawk-like weapon in the first series.
They're going to CGI the new Rainbow Ranger in and re-dub lines to deal with his growing feelings of attraction to Bulk and Skull. Apparently the liberals got their PC hooks in deep.

aeonic, I think you're thinking of Tommy, the Green (and eventually White) Ranger.
And yeah, Trini died in a car accident because she wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Good role model.
Well, I think I was coming more from the fact that Austin St. John, the guy who played the first Red Ranger, is of Native and Spanish descent, amongst others. They should've played up the ethnic more, I think.

So, this means that a new generation of pre-teens boys will drool over Amy Jo Johnson only to sadly discover that she is now 40.
Sucks to be them.

"Meanwhile, Bandai, the toy company who have made all of the Power Rangers action figures, announced that they will unveil fifteen new action figures revolving around the original Power Rangers."
I have a much better idea, why not just re-release the old toys. I'm still fucking bitter about not getting the "Deluxe Edition" (WTF) Megazord as a kid. My mom got the regular one not knowing the difference, and I can't say I blame her. All it did was fire it's fists. Remember that from the show?
There are a lot of what if's in life Donny. What if I hit you really hard in the face, knocked yo shit to the back of yo skull? What if I....had you girl gargle my nuts? The fact remains, you are a fuckin mutant.

Yeah I agree isn't repackaging what toy-commercial shows are all about.

Sounds pretty similar to what happened to me as a kid. I wanted the Megazord as a kid, and my Mom said she found one at a yard sale so I was all excited. When I got them it was actually the Voltron tigers that combined together, she didn't know the difference. I just pretended they were Power Rangers, but it wasn't the same.

Well she is a milf so... naturally it's mans obligation to rail her.
This was my favorite TV show as a child, only because it promoted violence and my parents were fine with it. I kinda lost interest around the time they got rid of the entire cast and put in the aliens from Zeo or something...

I was into it until after Power Rangers in Space, but I like to watch the newest one (RPM) at 12 on Sat.
