Overall an above average S20 episode, but in the grand scheme of things, a fairly average episode.
But holy shit, the stuff with the Smothers Brothers was pure gold.

Fuck Morgan Spurlock. The only thing he's good at is getting fat, then whining about it.

I like Spurlock despite his tendency to over blow things, I am sure my opinion of Supersize Me is already somewhere on here. That being said, even as someone who enjoys his work, I will say that this is retarded. A preview two days after it is set to air? Seriously?

I noticed they finally got around to making fun of South Park. It was particularly funny how they copied South Park's style of doing jokes about 10 years too late.

As a collector of the box sets I'm annoyed by the constant packaging changes every few runs, and the fact it is taking them so damn long to release everything. I want season 13 damn it, not season 20.

This was more of an homage to South Park, than making fun of it.
They did make fun of it, once, and it was terrible. It was their typical "every cartoon that isn't us is unoriginal and crass" bullshit.

Yeah, that's more of what I meant. It's still 10 years too late. I mean, gah, they don't even kill Kenny anymore (maybe once a season).
When did they actually take a shot at them?

I didn't catch that banter because I live in Canada, where, for as long as I can remember, this predominately suck-ass channel called Global intercepts Fox's signal on Sunday night, effectively FORCING Canadian Fox viewers to watch the shows on Global instead. The only reason I ever tune in to that channel is so I can play my NES or SNES. At least they stopped adding "On Global" to the opening sequence.

Agreed. "Waah, McDonald's is gonna kill me in 30 days!" Try living on ramen noodles for 30 days like most college kids, wuss.
As far as The Simpsons, I love it... I was younger than Bart when it started by a year, now I'm 18 years older than him. Now that's a way to make you feel old. But... as much as I love that it's still going, I haven't actually had the urge to watch an episode since the 300th. I think that was the one with Tony Hawk, but whatever the case, that was the last new episode of the Simpsons I've ever watched. Thank GOD for the DVD releases.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas. |
