The next grouping is...

The Simpsons - Long running prime time series about a typical American family. You know, nothing special.

Beetlejuice - The Ghost With The Most has zany madcap adventures in the Netherworld with best friend Lydia...based off the movie, and conveniently forgets that BJ was supposed to be the villain.

Sailor Moon - Japanese series starring magical girls representing the various planets who fight against whatever bizarre monsters the bad guys throw at them that week, and still find a way to deal with typical schoolgirl problems.

Thundercats - Um...honestly, I don't know. Wikipedia says, "the adventures of the eponymous team of heroes, cat-like humanoid aliens from the planet of Thundera.". Does that work? Also, snarf snarf.

I'm pretty sure these descriptions are horribly inaccurate, but let's face it, if you don't know the series, you won't vote for it. Right?

Bring it on.

I wonder who will get the most votes in this round? It would be nice to see Beetlejuice get the 2nd most votes here. I have fond memories of watching that cartoon every morning before school. Plus, the movie was incredible.

Thundercats all the way, no contest. The theme song alone is enough to destroy the competition. Thundercats are loose!

I know everyone is supposed to be in love with The Simpsons, but I never got into it.

I always get nervous for obvious winners because people just assume they will win and go for the second place vote.

Seriously, how could Sailor Moon get even one vote.

I voted for Beetlejuice, since it was the only show I actually remember enjoying. Seriously, the Simpsons? Fuck no.

I'll be the first one to say it. I voted Sailor Moon for the sake of anime. Big whoop, wanna fight about it?

Despite the amount they started to suck around season 10, I'm voting for the Simpsons.

How could you not vote for a series that slipped in so many innocent "BJ" references?

I'm so sad my T-Cats are up against The Simpsons. Nothing is going to beat that this early on. Sad

Still, I cast my vote By the Eye of Thundera! THUNDERCATS, HO!

Although the movie is many times better, I'll still go with Beetlejuice here. Figuring that The Simpsons is kicking the other three's ass here.

How the hell is Sailor Moon tied with Thundercats? I demand all American children of the 80s to make the right choice!

I didn't locate this poll earlier (how?) but I think my vote was fairly obvious.

The Simpsons is quite possibly one of the best shows I've ever seen. While I'm a bigger fan of South Park, the earlier Simpsons were more consistant episode to episode. Nothing stood out enough to make you enjoy it too much more than the next episode, which is very easy to do nowadays where shows are hit or miss from week to week. Even the Lisa episodes usually allowed for some good side story involving either Bart or Homer.

Our network provider for Fox used to have 2 episodes of the old Simpsons episodes on each weekday at 5 pm, but nowadays they cut one episode in favor for "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" (big fucking whoop) and the other episode is 2008-2009. Who the fuck even still watches the new Simpsons? They're terrible! Every plotline has been recycled 3 or 4 times, it's like watching the Three Stooges from the 60's...it's just sad to look at. I honestly believe that Fox is just trying to torture us with the new episodes so that we go out and buy the DVDs of the old episodes. And I know a lot of people look at the first 2 seasons or so of the Simpsons and don't find a lot of funny material, but I still really enjoy them for what they are and have their own humble fufillment behind them.

Even though it's basically a throwaway contest here, I'd like to see The Simpsons in the finals, only because it's possibly the one show that almost everyone from our generation (late 70's-80's babies) really grew up with and enjoyed.

Come on, none of you watched Sailor Moon and thought it was ridiculously funny when they were five here?

Sailor Moon was on at 6 am followed up by Dragonball Z.

I usually tried wake up at 6:25 so I would have a few minutes to get adjusted for Dragonball Z. Sometimes I caught Sailormoon, but I never enjoyed anything other than the 2 cats.

I wouldn't vote for something based on the cheesey humor factor, I genuinely prefered Simpsons over anything else up here.

The way I conduct things is on the basis of how many of these shows I could watch in a row. I could watch probably 8 to 10 Simpsons episodes straight, but doubt I would get through 2 episodes of anything else, especially Sailor Moon.

I would have voted Simpsons if they would just have more god damn Professor Frink. And they need to replace Lisa with Handsome Pete.

Not only ridiculously funny, but also awesome and sexy. That and DBZ were my first anime, like a lot of people.

The show was targeted at adolescent girls, not prepubescent boys.

Also, not all of us are the same age. I was 12 when Sailor Moon first came out. It was about as appealing to me as Jem and the Holograms.
