So I'm watching this, thought it might be pretty good since I like Ian McKellen and Jim Caveziel isn't too bad. It looked interesting, but so far all it seems like is a really drawn out trailer. I'm familiar with the original series, but never sat down to watch it. Just curious as to everyone else's thoughts on this program that have watched it.

I came to this with fairly high hopes, but it ended up being a major meh for me, at least the first part. Ian McKellen makes a fantastic Number 2 as expected, but everyone else...ehhh. And the writing? Double eh. It reminds me of the very worst parts of the X-files back in seasons 8 and 9, when it was clear they had no fucking clue what they were doing with the mythology. I'll absolutely give this another watch just in case, but I have a feeling it only goes downhill from here. Confused

That was my problem...it just seems shot to shot to shot...with no story telling. If you can't tell the fucking story...WHY would you expect people to watch? And if you've seen the trailer for this, then you've basically seen the thing summed up...it's just a very long trailer with no attention to detail.
