Listening to every album an artist put out straight through, in chronological order. I've been sitting around listening to all my Zeppelin records today, and tomorrow I'll do the same with another band... GN'R, I'm thinking. A few days ago I did it with Soundgarden.... man, it's just the bestest. If you've never marathoned through an artist's catalogue, go do it, right now.

Also, no pussying out and picking like, the Sex Pistols or someone who only made one record.

I did that with my Offspring collection on the first half of a 16-hour drive. I nearly lost my voice singing along.

I did that with The Ramones a few months ago. Starting with "Blitzkrieg Bop" and ending with "Born to Die in Berlin," got me all sort of nostalgia and depression.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

I have an mp3 player that has all of the GNR albums, including Hollywood Rose, plus Sympathy for the Devil and Oh My God. So I listen to that quite a bit. I don't usually make it through the whole thing in one setting, but I start where I last left off until I've gone through it.

My thing is, I don't have enough complete discographies other than a couple of bands.

However, what I do do is take an artist, get all of the singles they released and put them on a cd(s). I have several of these.

"Oh My God" sucked. I mean, it was a rad song, but it sucked. I remember thinking it sounded aweome at first, but I don't know. It's a good song, they just made it sound awful on the record.

I didn't like Oh My God at first. But I wanted it so I would have ALL of the singles on on CD. But now it's grown on me a little.

I occasionally do that with Radiohead. I'm planning to do that with the Melvins too.

I've been on a major Coheed and Cambria addiction since late May. I usually listen to them for at least an hour a day, sometimes more, and I watch their "Neverender" DVD a lot. It's safe to say the only bands I like better are Rush and Metallica.
In the days leading up to when I saw Metallica, I listened most of their albums constantly. The fact that the day before the concert was Cliff's deathday helped with that, because I always listen to only Burton-era Metallica on that day.

Oh My God sucked if you heard it in lesser quality than the CD release. I would argue the same for the entire Chinese Democracy album.

Axl's music after the Sympathy for the Devil release needs more than MP3s can offer in terms of quality.

I liked most of what I heard from the Chinese Democracy leaks.

I usually do this whenever I discover a metal band. it can get expensive when it's a band that has a ton of albums.

Yeah, I can do this with Van Halen, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, Paramore, Switchfoot, Ozzy, and Living color. Oh, and I own both of Velvet Revolver's albums haha.

Does anybody here have a Ross Rifle?
