By being "stuck listening to" something, I don't mean something that's stuck in your head. What I mean is what band are you currently listening to a lot? Like, more than any others? For me, it changes. When I was younger at one point I listened to a lot of Metallica CDs. Another time, I listened to Megadeth. At another point I listened to Iron Maiden. Maybe it's just me, but I'd like to see if anyone else is like this so I'm curious enough to ask you guys! Very Happy

For me, I'm currently listening to the album Synchronicity by The Police. College fall semester just started and I enjoy listening to Sting's voice to alleviate any stress. It calms me down, yet I dunno why. It's almost as if Bob Ross started taking singing lessons! Also, the music is very awesome, especially the song "Synchronicity II".

Five Finger Death Punch's album. it's a staple in my car. that and the new Jem album, whatever the hell it's called. Polar opposites? Of course!

A few months ago I discovered Sodom, then Killing Joke and then went on a big Nirvana kick. Lately I've been attempting to get into Venom more.

A while ago a started listening to alot of Post punk and stuff. Sort of growing away from all the metal I used to listen to. I still like it, but now I'm listening to more Bauhaus, The Cure, Joy Division, etc.

By the way, Sodomy is fucking great.

Coheed and Cambria for the win! I've been listening to them nonstop since I bought "Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume 1: From Fear The Eyes of Madness", and they've become my second-favorite rock band, after the Almighty Rush. Every album, every song is just killer.
Every Time I Die has also been getting a lot of play from me lately. I love their "party Southern hardcore" schtick. Protest the Hero gets a lot of listens too, their bassist is godly, and they're the only mathcore band I like. I've liked Kyuss for a few years, but I've been listening to them constantly for the last few weeks. Strangely, there's not too much metal that's grabbed me by the balls lately, though, with the exception of Toxic Holocaust.
As out-of-character of me as this might sound, I've actually been enjoying a few Fall Out Boy songs that have been looping on my IPOD lately. I went back and listened to them after hating them for years, then, when I heard a few of their songs for the first time in a while, I just thought "This is what sent me into a rage when I was 16? There's so many worse bands I could have been hating on!"
And of course, there's the obvious Metallica and Motorhead, who I'll be seeing LIVE IN CONCERT on the 28th of September in SA, and the 20th of September in Austin, respectively.

Now that I have all four major Joy Division releases (three of them the remastered editions), I've been listening to them nonstop. Closer is just...a perfect album. Completely perfect.

Also, I got six KMFDM albums in the course of one weekend (two of them were free, in fact, because...I get the vague feeling that the cashier was attracted to me), and I've been listening to them nonstop as well. Of the six albums I have (Nihil, Adios, Angst, Naive, Symbols, and WWII), my favorites are Nihil and Symbols.

I've also been listening to Bauhaus ("Poison Pen" is one of the most addictive songs I've ever heard), the Cure (Disintegration, Pornography, and Seventeen Seconds FTW), and Crystal Castles ("Courtship Dating" never gets old). Also, early New Order, because it reminds me of Double Dragon II.

Not a band but I'm stuck listening to the soundtrack to Inglourious Basterds.

Anything by Paramore (but this has been ongoing for about a year), Good Charlotte's first album, and 'New Tattoo' by Motley Crue.

I've been stuck in a continuous loop of listening to "Midwestern Songs of the Americas" by The Dillinger Four (not to be confused with Dillinger Escape Plan, who suck) for well over two years now, the longest I've ever really listened to an album. It's just the most epic, hard-rocking punk album I've ever heard, even with its catchy pop-iness. The lyrics are great as well, especially on the final track "The Great American Going out of Business Sale," which I would say holds my title for favorite song of all time.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

My music taste went through a few phases over the years.

Started with

Metal/Hard rock/Nu-metal
then it went onto
Grunge/alt rock/alt metal
then
Funk Metal
then
Jazz/Noise rock/Ambient/Ska
now its at post hardcore so bands like Jawbox, Fugazi etc.

I still like all those genres though. So I'm sort of building a repertoire.
