He is not NOW a singer, he was singer for a good portion of his life. He was in IMX/immature before sister sister and they were together till 2002 and been doing solo acts since.
Though to be fair i didn't know that until a fer years ago.

On a related note (spam bot or not), I just learned not to long ago that the girl from The Wizard and the guy who played Pinsky on Salute Your Shorts were in Rilo Kiley.
