Damn. Not the animation style I'd choose, but that doesn't look half bad. Rather neat, actually. Fun to see a new take on the characters.

Whoever made this did an incredible job.
@Hawk: I don't know how to break this to you but what you saw was basically the Fullmetal Alchemist intro/ending with FFVI characters. Then again I can't really tell if you're speaking in an ironic manner (I can't really tell these things when it comes to text).
((Damn the intro on AS was a pain to find.))

Bob, if you look around youtube enough you'll find all sorts of these things, like basically putting the character's design over another character from an anime (like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya with Final Fantasy 5 for example, Farris being done as Haruhi). That's why I put anime in quotes heh.

Just in case you don't watch anime, its sorta an edit of the fullmetal alchemist opening/closing/
Nifty. I like the picture at 0:35 of sabin talking to umaro. Maybe he's bored? Also, I always forget that relm doesn't wear pants.

I know, however Hawk seemed like she believed it was a real anime. I understood perfectly what it was but it seemed like she misunderstood (again I apologize if that isn't the case, I'm not really good at reading people). In all honesty of all the character parodies I've seen this one looks really professional.

I thought this was real too. Glad I read what you guys wrote.
I really think that the artist missed the point when he drew Celes and Edgar. A general wearing spandex with no armor? A king without any gold? I only saw Cyan for a moment, couldn't tell the armor he had, but I assume he was probably in plain clothes too.
I am glad that this is fake and hope that any future work done for FFIV and FFVI is targeted at America. Those games did well to fit in here with our culture, it would be a shame if they became more like later Final Fantasy stories.

I didn't think it was an actual Anime series, but I did think it was entirely original. Thanks for clearing that up.
I have a friend who loves FMA, and I've seen it a few times, but I'm not familiar enough with it to recognize the credits. Still a neat thing though.

If they actually did make it an anime, there's a few things that I can predict that they'd add to the storyline and characters.
1. They'd probably make Strago somewhat perverted, keeping with the tradition of pervy old men.
2. They'd probably change the entire World of Ruin section to make it more feasible
3. They'd probably give the magic system a complete overhaul, like giving each of the main characters their own Esper and corresponding spell lists.
4. The following story arcs would take at least 30 episodes each
a. Magitek Research Facility
b. Floating Continent
c. Kefka's Tower
d. The Final Battle, ending with a 4 episode "Hold Kefka off while Terra casts Ultima" and 3 episode "Escape"
Do you think this sounds accurate?

I saw this some time ago. Very good. Personally I wish it was real but I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon, seeing that Square Enix is mainly focusing on the FF13's and 14.
Not to change the game being talked about, but there was actually an 4 episode FF5 anime OVA that was a sequel to the events of the game (renamed Legend of the Crystals for NA, post-FF7) but your mileage may vary. There were some... creative liberties were taken with the material (fffff). Also, panty shots. You can watch it on youtube.
