Glad to see all the hack comedians got the jokes out of the way so the man could die a respectful death.
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Honestly, I was one of the few people who believed that Michael was actually innocent. There was no proof at all that he actually molested children.

I don't know if dying from taking to many sleeping pills is respectable. I am personally erasing that thought from my mind and am going to cement in my mind that he just had a heart attack. Whether the OD thing is true or not.

I am pretty sad that Michael Jackson is dead, but in all honesty, I'm more sad for other people than myself:
Michael Jackson's loving family, especially Janet
Brad Buxer
All the folks at SEGA
Michael's other fans
If there anyone I missed, which I'm definitely sure there are, list them.

Sega and Jackson had a very close working relationship...as evidenced by the clip I embedded.
Little known fact: Jackson wrote the music for Sonic 3/Sonic and Knuckles.

I knew that, I was going to say SEGA hadn't worked with Jackson in years, so why would they be sad about it? I mean, they're probably bummed, but not to the point where they will need other people's support.

Since I was a kid, "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" was one of my favorite songs to dance to, and the talented man who wrote it and songs like "Smooth Criminal" and "Thriller" is now dead. This is terrible.
Rest in peace, King.

I never disliked Michael even through all his bullshit, I understood where he was coming from even though he had a mental illness stemming from childhood that he never overcame.
i encourage everyone who is grieving and wants to understand Michael to watch The Jacksons- An American Dream.
for those who don't like Michael I can respect that, but you can't deny at one time he had it right

Wonder how Slash is doing. First his mom, then one of his favorite collaborators.
EDIT: My video comments (yes, this is my video)
-
Michael Jackson passed away yesterday.
Jackson will be remember mostly for two things - for being an incredibly gifted performer, and for being an incredible kook. However, lesser known is his contributions to video gaming. He had a close working relationship with Sega for a while. He composed the music for Sonic 3/Sonic and Knuckles, and even had an awesome cameo in the mindscrew that is Space Channel 5 (moreso in Part 2). And then, there's the Moonwalker video game.
If I were making a video game that would show off everything awesome about Michael Jackson, it would be Moonwalker. If I were making one that was showing off everything wacky about Jackson, it would also be Moonwalker. The game is a half-decent platformer, but has several bizarre touches that make it pretty damn fun to play. I'll let the game speak for itself, and I don't even get to show off Robo-Michael or the obligatory dancing zombies (biggest flaw - no Thriller. Rights issue, I think).
This is the first level, and the first stage of the second. I upload it as a testament to Wacko Jacko...a great talent, a great human being, and, most admirable to me, a dude who lived life the way he wanted to and screw what the world thought.
A lot of the initial shock of it's worn off now, I'm still deeply saddened by it, though. The man took shit all his life, lived eccentrically and wonderfully, and did a lot for music and everything. Basically, the man who defined pop culture is dead, but of course, everything he's done is still going on and growing today. RIP.
<Drew_Linky> Well, I've eaten vegetables all of once in my life.

Pop music, not pop culture. If that man defined popular culture he wouldn't have been chastised for being so odd.

I'm talking about in the sense that you don't have some Best Week Ever reject douchebag comedians showing up on talk shows for a "lighter side" of it all, where they say something like "Lunch and Jesus Juice will be served after the funeral HURRHURRHURR!"
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.
Usually, I have my TV wake me up every morning with its timer feature. One of the reasons I do, particularly during the summer, is so I can do Wii Fit. (I know, it's sad, isn't it?)
The reason I mentioned that is because my TV woke me up this morning to the end of one of Michael's songs, "Childhood." I even saw the ending of that video, with all of the children going away in their ships and leaving poor Michael behind. In all honesty, I think the opposite is true; I think Michael went away in a [metaphorical] ship and left all of his fans behind.
On a side note, I put on a Sonic the Hedgehog shirt because of how much Michael liked him.
