I guess TMZ reported it as a death, now LA Times says it is a coma.

LA Times are saying he's dead now. CNN still says coma, though. They're waiting for confirmation.

He didn't deserve such a destiny. He'll go into history as one of the greatest showmen in Earth, if not THE greatest. And his image will also be linked to that of a pederast, unfortunately.

What a bummer, man. I'll be sure to learn "Thriller", "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Smooth Criminal" on bass in his memory.

Just heard about it like 10 minutes ago on MTV. There playing some of his music, and it showed in a small box of scrolling text that Michael Jackson died today, Early Afternoon, of a Cardiac Arrest.

I'm going to say he's dead, it's hard for someone to bounce back from a heart attack. Rock in peace, you brilliant man, i will always love your music.

He's going to be remembered deeply in all our hearts. The man revolutionized music to such an extent it's almost impossible to imagine how it would be today without him. He was the Beatles of the '80s. The music video, the album, the breakdown between hard rock and pop, all he did for music and pop culture in general is insurmountable. It's truly a shame the man had such problems all through his life, and since I don't know what happened, I won't judge him for them. But for the amount of influence he had, he certainly deserved to live for many, many more years. Rest in peace.

I'm going to have to tell my friends, I mean as bad as he ended up for a brief period of time he was the King of Pop.

I'll say it, this is the best thing to happen to his "legacy" in 21 years.

As a human being I never really understood him that well however I regret that such a skilled individual has faded from this plane of existence so unexpectedly. May he rest in peace.

I just hope people will remember him as a wonderful musician and not as a punchline for a cheap joke.

Agreed. But I think his work will speak for itself long after all the gossip and insanity and bullshit he tried so hard to escape has been forgotten.

I just heard of it four hours ago at 4:30.
I was talking to my friend, and we both just stopped when we suddenly heard the news.

L is not really justice. It is just a clever repetetive metaphor that shows the idea and concept that he, as a human being, upholds a need for physical and mental righteousness...
However, I am Justice, and am therefore smarterer than him. |

I was big fan of his music. Back in 2nd-3rd grade ('97-'98 or '98-'99), almost every time we had free time, my cooking teacher would let us bake pizzas and he would always put on Thriller (in addition to letting us on his computer to game/play on the internet) I had the song stuck in my head since then.
But anyway... RIP to King of Pop. You'll be missed forever.

This is just sad. He may have been a weirdo at times, but he's one of the best singers and dancers ever. I didn't know about it until my brother sent me a link this afternoon.

"Motown Legend Michael Jackson Pronounced Dead"
Yeah, I have to admit, I'm pretty sad inside. I never had any of his records, but I can remember the Moonwalker tunes pretty well, especially "Billie Jean."

Perez digs himself a deeper grave. This is his post BEFORE he altered it about Mj's death. Screencapped and already being reported on the web.

I am pretty sad about this. I really liked the music he put out and had always hoped that he would at some point prove to the world that at least he knew who he was.
