Post vids of live covers of your favorite video game songs.
These guys are a jazz group called the One Ups and are fucking incredible, they do all songs they cover incredible justice. I start with this vid of them shredding Shadowman from MM3. Turn it up loud!
Edit: I had to add this insane Toejam & Earl cover from The Gameboys as well. Its too good haha. The bass player fucking KILLS it.
Because video embedding has been gay lately for me, I'll just post the links to the video and explain what they are in parentheses for those too lazy to click on them:

Probably old news, but the Minibosses version of Mega Man 2 is incredible.
Damn, I was going to post that. Oh well, he does a really good job. I had the Chocobo song stuck in my head for at least a week and I don't even play Final Fantasy that much anymore.

thats pretty cool. i didn't know people did stuff like that with video game music.
All of these covers are amazing, but my two pet birds have a clear favorite. When I put this one on, they both went ape and started singing (tweeting) along lmao. Win all the way.

I love this kind of stuff. Video game music has some unsung greats that pretty much, only WE know about I'm glad I found some new bands and artists in this thread.... GREAT STUFF.
Death metal cover of the original Super Mario Bros. castle theme by Nylithia (not a big fan of death metal myself, but this is amusing for me).
Remix of the moon level theme from Ducktales on NES by someone named "norg." The guitar sound sort of reminds me of Joe Satriani, which is sweet!

Ahh I love this thread.
Dii, the Castle Theme from SMW is still one of my favorites of all time.
My favorite Megaman track of all time is probably Bubbleman from MM2. I have heard a plethora of remixes on the web, but IMHO this is the best by strides.
The beat is so hot, its a mixture of grooviness and serenity.
Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.
