According to this, sydlexia.com is worth $42,945.90.
I have no idea how they come up with that figure, but Syd, if someone shows up offering you $30,000 for the site, hold out for more. You're apparently worth it.

Syd... if you had ads they think you would make:
$58.83 per day!

Per DAY??
Wow, I misread that, thought it said "per month".
Cripes, Syd, get on the money wagon!
Again, I wonder how they determine that...

Hell, if it would help Syd out, I'd even play the "sit around and click on ads for half an hour every day" game. Its annoying, but if it supports a place this good, then what the hell. It's not like I don't spend way to much on the site clicking the refresh button anyway .
Only corollary: would you kindly not have the ads take the form of pop ups. Thank you.

Syd damnit, we know you don't want to be a sellout but you've put a lot of effort into this site and spent money on it, just take some cash back. No one here cares about a few adds.

I agree that pop-ups are the Devil's scrotum, but a few ads would not be a big deal, and that's significant money towards defraying the cost of the site.
If you don't feel right spending that money on yourself, you could...oh, I dunno, treat the forum members to a party or something.
Seriously. Make some money. We don't mind. We want you to.

You know, you can do other things besides ads to get profit off this site.

Become a paid blogger, make people subscribe to articles, sell t shirts and other merchandise, get affiliates, etc...

Subscription content kills sites.
The other ideas are good.

I was just throwing out ideas. Besides, if you need ideas just use Google.

I'm telling ya, Syd, if you sell bumper stickers, I'd buy some and place them around town. And I would LOVE to sport a Sydlexia t-shirt.

Tell ya what Syd. If I make it big, and you sell t-shirts, I pledge here and now that I will wear one in every video from my first album AT LEAST.

Honestly Syd, I definitely agree with ads and such if you can start pulling in some dough. You've put a lot of effort into this site and you really deserve some kickback. And merch is always good too.

As long as the ads are not pop-ups, don't have sound (goddamn those with sound cues are fucking annoying), and aren't ridiculously large, I have no problem with them.

God yes. Ads with sound are the freaking devil. And I second the pop ups too, like I said...
Other than that, go for it Syd. And I would so wear a sydlexia tee shirt. Seriously. Someone with better design skills than me needs to go to one of those make your own tee shirt sites and see what they can do.
