So, aside from it being one of the best songs ever, what's your favorite version, and what do you think of the one I just recorded?

Good cover. Brave choice.

My favorite version has to be the Stone's original.

Though, the GNR cover from Interview was awesome as well.

I'm torn on my favorite. I love GNR's version, but the fact that there's so much hatred behind it, and that it caused Slash to leave the band, kinda puts a dark cloud over it for me.

The GNR version didn't cause Slash to leave the band, it just happened to coincide with with the timing of his departure.

None the less, I like the GNR version very much.

Ross, I want to hear you make a song where you scream into the microphone without reservation.

You sing so many of your songs with a hushed voice as though you are holding back. There is no one but us Internet folkes here. You have nothing to be embarrassed about. BELT IT OUT!

These vocals are the second or fourth take. The first take sounded awesome, but oopsie, my computer decided not to record half of it! So by the time I got to this take, I was pissed and just wanted it done Razz

But like I always say, it's just a demo. I actually had this really intense conversation with a former prof. of mine about going in and getting a lesson or two on how to keep my key steady and open my throat more.
