My absolute favorite song tends to change once in a month or so. Well, currently I cant get enough of Muse's Ruled by Secrecy

I never get tired of "The Great American Going Out of Business Sale," by Dillinger Four. It's so hard-rocking, and lyrically one of my favorites.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

My single favorite version of any song ever:

"Fuel," Metallica with the San Francisco Symphony orchestra. I love all the songs on S&M, but this one marries the metal and the orchestra so perfectly, especially at the end...just listen to that interplay of strings and guitar and brass (and vocals!) Its like what I imagine Beethoven, or maybe Wagner, would have written, if they had had modern instruments (although Wagner strikes me as more of a Manowar kind of guy honestly.)

Other than that my top would look something like....

"Glory Ride,"/"Valhalla" - Black Sabbath

"Hope" - America

"Brothers of Metal"/"Spirit Horse of the Cherokee" - Manowar (if I was dying of cancer, my Make-A-Wish would be to see them live. They look unbelievable.)

"Alberta Bound" - Paul Brandt

"Four Strong Winds" - Ian Tyson

I have a few songs that juggle in my head as my favorite... I'm not sure that I could ever just pick one and say it is my absolute favorite and always will be.

I guess...

I really like GNR Don't Damn Me.

Hell yes! One of my all time favorite songs. My high school was named Valhalla, and I always thought that we should use that song during football games. You know, where the team comes breaking through the banner to assemble on the field? That would have been SO FUCKING AWESOME. But did the administration understand that? No, because it was by Black Sabbath. Never mind that there was not even the slightest hint of a bad word (yes he says Hel, but that's a reference to the actual place in Norse mythology, not a curse) or controversy. They just wanted to cover their asses since Ozzy was a semi-controversial figure Rolling Eyes . Huge missed opportunity, I tell you.

I've heard "Eternal Idol" and didn't really like it. Tony Iommi playing 80's metal (solo career aside) seems like such a waste. That being said, I really like Martin's versions of Dio Sabbath songs.

There are a lot of what if's in life Donny. What if I hit you really hard in the face, knocked yo shit to the back of yo skull? What if I....had you girl gargle my nuts? The fact remains, you are a fuckin mutant.

Bat Out of Hell-Meat Loaf. That is the song I want played at my funeral. Along with a few others (i.e. Orion, Cemetary Gates, Cowboy Song, Afterimage etc.) My funeral will be rockin'.

haha, Eternal Idol's probably the worst of the Tony Martin era. Listen to Headless Cross, that one's really good. Cross Purposes is decent too.

And I forgot a few faves too, like:

All classics. And may I add that I pieced together an acoustic cover album the other night? These are all included. $5 if you're interested Wink

My top-ten list changes frequently, but my absolute favorite song continues to remain a tie between "Dreams" by The Cranberries, and "Wanderlust" by Bjork.

Dreams is one of my favorite songs too...only the song I'm talking about is from a different band (I do like The Cranberries song too)

I can't pick one favorite. So here is a few.

When I saw Skynyrd, they didn't play this in the entire set and I will never forgive them for it.

These guys are fucking crazy.

Smile It was at the Route 66 Music Festival. The year before, a riot broke out while they were playing that started with people pushing and shoving to get to the stage. I told my friends if they didn't play it, I was going to start another riot. Then after they were done, everyone was giving me shit asking when this alleged riot was supposed to go down.

I have a "usually continue to remain my favorites with sporadic changes" list and a "songs that I like a whole lot but will most likely forget about in few months unless I seriously like it in which case it will be added to my sporadically changed list" list:

Sporadically changed list:
"Bodies" - Smashing Pumpkins (it has sentimental value to me)
"Rusted Wheel" - Silversun Pickups
"The Big Come Down" - Nine Inch Nails
"Where I End And You Begin" - Radiohead
"A Bad Dream" - Keane
"Starlight" - Muse
"Viva la Vida" - Coldplay
"Ashes to Ashes" - David Bowie

Current-favorites list:
"Future Foe Scenarios" - Silversun Pickups
"Oslo in the Summertime" - Of Montreal
"Courtship Dating" - Crystal Castles
"Neverlost" - Smashing Pumpkins
"Say Aha" - Santogold
"Dead Souls" - Nine Inch Nails
"Spieluhr" - Rammstein

I am also a huge Elvis fan. I should have probably included one of his songs, but I don't know if I have a favorite Elvis song. I pretty much like them all.
