So, is anyone going to buy the Super Deluxe Reissue of Pearl Jam's Ten? It contains a remastered CD, a remixed CD A replica of the original 3 song demo tape, a DVD of the unreleased Unplugged show, an LP of their 1992 Drop in the Park concert, a replica of Eddie Vedder's notebook and more. 2 CDs, 4 LPs and a Cassette. It's like $140 I think.

I listened to Ten a lot when I was in 7th grade and it holds a special place. Ten was good, but not $140.00 good; that's more than the Beatles Anthology! And sorry, but that is the bar by which I set music history and how much I will spend on it.
I wonder to which womens' charity that money will be donated. Eddie suffers for chicks.

I'll buy it, just not that version of it. That is a shitload of cool, unreleased stuff though.

I like Ten, but that's awfully expensive.
And a demo tape? That's fucking cute, but who the hell still owns a cassette player? Unlike like records, cassettes don't have a single shred of retro cool and unlike records, cassettes have super shitty sound quality and no longetivity.

I agree that $140 is a hell of a lot to pony up, but being that Pearl Jam was my favorite band for the better part of the last 15 years, I'll probably drop that kinda cash for it.
If they try to pull the same sort of thing for their later albums or Eddie Vedder's solo stuff, they can shove it. Pearl Jam got way too political and Eddie Vedder began taking himself way too seriously. That's one of the reasons I'm glad Obama won, despite my voting for McCain. Maybe Eddie Vedder will finally shut the fuck up and rock again.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

Perhaps I might purchase it...
Pearl Jam was my absolute favorite band for about four years, and every song on Ten is phenomenal (with the possible exception of "Deep", which I've always thought was kinda bland), but I don't have a record player...or a cassette player...and they're not my favorite band anymore...and I don't have money.

Ten is a great album but there is no way I'm dropping $140 on this reissue, even with the cool extras.

Lol, the only means I have of listening to music in my truck is the built in cassette player.
The only cassettes I have that work well are Badmotorfinger by Soundgarden and Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same, and I have heard them both so much you would not believe it.

Yeah, while I have many CDs and records, at I about 350 last count (around a year ago so I'd estimate around 450 now, it's been a good year thrifting) cassettes takes up the vast majority of my music collection.
