...reading it?
You should have seen it. About a thousand times.

I think I thought I read it... in a book or something... years ago.
Where would I have seen it... why does this seem familiar but not as familiar as text?
Damn it!

Syd, as crazy as this may sound... that isn't what I was thinking about.
Fuck... I'm going to have to do a lot of reading to figure out where I found it.

You know, I'm really annoyed with Axl's decision to change the name of "The Blues" to "Street of Dreams". The name "Street of Dreams" implies that the song is about hope. It's not, it's about love gone bad, and "The Blues" is a much more appropriate title.

He is describing the opposite of the "street of dreams" which would be the blues.
But in his world it would seem that the street of dreams is the same as the blues.
Perhaps that is how he sees it?
Personally I think that you are right.
He should have named it "You kill love".

Im surprised you didn't get the 'Estranged' reference GP.
I see a little of Axl's attitude and personality in myself. Which kinda worries me, but at least I am getting shit done and I'm ok with saving songs for the next record and stuff. I actually have the next 6 albums planned out.
He really is a genius. Shit.

I haven't watched the Estranged video since the 90s.
To be honest, I didn't like the song when it came out. Over time, my taste has changed and I really enjoy it now. It was too slow and too much like November Rain for my young mind to enjoy it. I wanted crazy rock like Garden of Eden. Funny enough, that song used to be one of my favorites and now it is just filler on the album.
None the less, I swear I read that some of the band members came into Axl's room one time and found him up on top of a cabinet or something writing music.

Oh no doubt, he probably does do that. I know what it's like to want to be somewhere secluded to write...maybe that was his only option lol.
Yeah, I love the 'Estranged' video because it's some of the most beautiful cinematography I've ever seen. You've never seen it until you've seen it projected on a wall though...amazing.
And for whoever wanted to know how Chinese Democracy stands up to the early stuff, listen to 'Welcome To The Jungle' and then 'Riad N' The Bedouins'...I did that last night and it's hard to explain, but there's something cool there...

I am having a very hard time reading this.
For someone who is usually super specific with his words I felt like Axl was all over the place.
I only got about half way through it, but will go back and finish it a bit later.

It's like reading the first draft of something I wrote. There are some wrong and missing words at points.
The problem is he's responding to FAQs, but as he said, he didn't list them.
