So I was trying to get the pic in my avatar so I could update(new computer, lost all pics) in some new forums when I came across this:

The inspiration for "Ghandi". Misspelling was my fault, but after spelling it wrong for, literally, YEARS I can't spell it right anymore. Confused It became my Counterstrike name.

This isn't ALL about me though Smile This movie is a CULT CLASSIC.

Obviously, this is one of my favorite segments. Anyone else out there secretly like UHF?

Fly little doggies! BTW, the acto, Trinidad something or other, died during filming, he was going to have more parts in the movie.

Damn that movie is classic. I have it on VHS. I always wondered about the whole "Ghandi" thing, if it was from that movie or something else. Your original av looked like a Robot Chicken Ghandi er Gandhi. Well done.

I got it from a Weird Al site that I couldn't find again when looking for the original picture. Confused I'll find it, but having the original clip is great too Smile

I really like Raul's Wild Kingdom segment:

"Today, we're going to teach poodles how to fly!"
"Arf! Arf! Arf! Arf! Arf!"
[THUD]
"OOOOOH MAN!"

I do some coin collecting and i'm aware the renown 1955 double die penny is given to a bum by some rich douche and the bum becomes rich from the money he made selling the coin and the rich guy becomes poor. Just for the lols, i'd watch the whole movie for that gag alone.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1955_doubled_die_cent

Oh yah and they made the huge error that the coin was from Denver. To a coin collector that is like saying superman is from india.

I loved this movie when I bought it, and surprisingly none of my "friends" even heard of Wierd Al... So I was a loner on this one and you know what, I think it's funnier then some of the more recent Scary Movie or Date Movie crap out there. Personal favorite scene is the Talk show with the White Supremist, Jason, the Nazi and the Psycho little girl. It came out way before Jerry Springer had his show and it was funny as all hell.

They actually put a billboard up for that and left it up a month after shooting the film. Many people left of at the exit looking for the store!

There was a "Spatula City" they used for filming. It was about to close down for good and they got to use it for movie before it happened. One of the true things in all the comedy of the movie.

Who can forget "Wheel of Fish"?

---------------------

*Woman spins wheel and it lands on a red snapper*

Kuni the Martial Arts Instructor: "Ahh, a red snapper. Mmmm, very tasty. Okay, Weaver, listen carefully. You can hold on to your red snapper..."

*Martial Arts student comes out with a box*

Kuni the Martial Arts Instructor: "...or you can go for what's in the box that Hiro-San is bringing down the aisle right now! What's it gonna be?"

*Crowd yells out their suggestions as Weaver agonizes over the decision*

Weaver: "I'll take the box! The box!!"

Kuni the Martial Arts Instructor: "You took the box? Let's see what's in the box!"

*Hiro-san opens the box...revealing nothing. The audience gasps in disappointment*

Kuni the Martial Arts Instructor: "Nothing! Absolutely nothing! STUPID! YOU SO STUPID!!"

-----------------

This movie should have been a lot more successful than it was.

I love this shit. Its one of my all time favorites. I can't pick a favorite part because the whole thing is my favorite part. But something funny a lot of people miss is the bum helping the blind guys solve the rubik's cube.
"Is this it?"
"Nope."
"Is this it?"
"Nope."

I pretty much have had the entire movie memorized since it came out. I also used to have several of Weird Al's tapes (yeah, I said tapes). I don't know what happened to them. I need to buy some of them again. Only this time on CD.

I love the fact that there is a genuinely funny American movie that doesn't feel like it has to fall back on gross-out humor. It's beautiful.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Back in the halcyon days of yore, when comedy movies actually required the viewer to possess some intellect in order to obtain full enjoyment.

My God, between this thread and ThatGuy's birthday thread, I'm feeling really old. And I'm only 22. I don't want to die yet. Sad

To cheer myself up, I'm going to quote a bit more of the movie.

==UNCLE NUTSY'S CLUBHOUSE==

*George, as Uncle Nutsy, comes out and does a goofy dance to a soft, lullaby-like tune*

Uncle Nutsy: "Hey kids! Where do you want to go!?"

*About 7 kids are sitting on the side. All of them look bored and disinterested.*

Kids: *half-heartedly*"To Uncle Nutsy's Clubhouse."

Uncle Nutsy: "That's right! I'm your Uncle Nutsy! And boy oh boy, are we going to have some big fun today! Huh, kids!?

*The kids squirming and fiddling around, paying no attention whatsoever.*

Uncle Nutsy: *nervous laugh* "Well, let's walk on over and see who's in our Kiddie Korner!!"

*Uncle Nutsy walks over to the kids and takes a seat next to a little boy*

Uncle Nutsy: "Hi...what's your name?"

Billy: "Billy."

Uncle Nutsy: "Billy what?"

*Billy hawks a loogie that ends up hanging off Uncle Nutsy's nose*

Uncle Nutsy: "OK..."

*We see a clown in the window of the house. He honks his horn.*

Uncle Nutsy: "Uh oh! You know who that is? That's right, it's your pal, BOBBO THE CLOWN!! Yayyyy!

*Bobbo comes out of the house and does a little dance, honking his horn. He runs over to Uncle Nutsy*

Uncle Nutsy: "Hey Bobbo, wanna play a game?"

*Bobbo honks his horn and shakes his head happily in agreement*

Uncle Nutsy: "OK! Look up..."

*Bobbo looks up*

Uncle Nutsy: "...look down..."

*Bobbo looks down*

Uncle Nutsy: "...now look at Mr. Frying Pan!!"

*Bobbo gives a look of "WTF?" as Uncle Nutsy creams him in the face with a frying pan. The cameraman winces in pain at the impact*

Uncle Nutsy: "Uh oh! Bobbo fall down go boom!"

*Billy looks on and gives a sigh of boredom as Uncle Nutsy helps Bobbo up*

Uncle Nutsy: "Upsie-daisy...say, Bobbo, what's wrong?"

*Bobbo flashes an evil look at Uncle Nutsy*

Uncle Nutsy: "Oh, I bet I know...you're hungry, aren't you?"

*Bobbo gives a half-hearted squeak of his horn*

Uncle Nutsy: "Well, I know just what you want!"

*The cameraman hands Uncle Nutsy a box*

Uncle Nutsy: "Clowns and kids alike can't resist the mouthwatering, *holds up box...unbeknownst to both Bobbo and Uncle Nutsy, it say's "Yappy's Dog Treats"* lip-smacking taste of Mrs. Hackenberger's Butter Cookies! Right, Bobbo!?"

*Uncle Nutsy shoves the treats into Bobbo's mouth. After a few bites, Bobbo's face contorts to a look of disgust*

Uncle Nutsy: "That's right! And hey mom, they're nutritous, too! Just look at how much Bobbo here likes them!"

*Bobbo is seen choking them down, still looking disgusted*

Uncle Nutsy: "Mmmmmm! That's good!!! And don't forget, kids, there's a nifty surprise inside every box *looks at box* of Mrs. Hackenbergers..."

*Uncle Nutsy realizes that he's holding dog treats. Bobbo looks at Uncle Nutsy with confusion.*

Uncle Nutsy: "Uh oh....*nervous laugh*...Bobbo's been eating Yappy's Dog Treats!!"

*Bobbo holds his hand to his mouth and runs off-camera*

Uncle Nutsy: "That's right! Yappy's Dog Treats! Your dog will love that real liver and tuna taste..."

*Bobbo is heard vomiting*

Uncle Nutsy: "...with just a hint of cheese!"

=======

My most favorite part of the movie, ever.

That reminds me, anyone ever see that shitty after school special about the library that had Conan's cartoon character in it? it was either an after school special or some kind of lame production for schools, my memory is a little fuzzy. Confused
It was in the same vein as that special where the TNMNT and the Muppet Babies and a bunch of other cartoons warned young children about the dangers of drugs through song and dance.
