I voted for Bon Scott, but I think I should've gone with "about the same."
The Scott AC/DC had a raucous, horny, violent rock n' roll stomp which remains unique to this day. They still stand out among their peers, who were a bit prettier, a bit showier, and a bit more willing to engage in the musical excesses of arena rock. They were almost as simplistic as punk, but they had the over-the-top energy of Zeppelin.
The Johnson era material is much more anthemic. Probably because he has a bigger, more booming voice. Those paeans to the power of rock could've been sort of cheesy, but they're so damned earnest. It's this sly, almost self-deprecating quality about them that, again, is so unique. "For Those About to Rock..." for example, is something that would be right at home in This Is Spinal Tap, but these guys really fucking MEAN it.
