Midnight Meat Train is the latest film from Clive Barker. It is based on one of his short stories, and he served as one of the producers. The film was originally slated for a theatrical release in May, but then Lionsgate pushed it back because the studio president, Joe Drake, didn't want it competing with the horror film he produced, The Strangers. In the end, Midnight Meat Train was quietly dumped into some dollar theaters in August and no one saw it.
But now, it's on FEARnet, the horror movie service that some cable providers, including Comcast, include as part of their "on demand" services. Oh yeah, and it's free to watch. How this happened is beyond, but I highly recommend it to anyone who likes horror films. It's awesome.
