You sing a song into your microphone or hum a part of it.
They search for it and give you the details.
It works, its frigg'n awesome

Didn't work for me. I tried singing some Cannibal Corpse as a joke, then I sang Mastodon's "Blood and Thunder", got nothing, then tried some Foo Fighters, and got nothing. It get "Master of Puppets" right, though.

Did you upload your singing for the songs it didn't recognize?

This is funny, because musically, there are many songs that are similar. Sing a punk or metal riff and a few million songs pop up. I haven't tried it myself because I don't have a microphone, but I would like to, to test such a possibility. It's definitely a good idea, but it sucks if someone is tone deaf, doesn't remember the song correctly, or doesn't remember the song at all except for the fact that it sounded "awesome."
