because Green Day did have some good moments, like before Dookie..they did a cool lounge-core version of Operation Ivy's song "Knowledge" and I thought it was pretty good, I just never bought into their new polished style when Dookie came around. Not a horrible band by any means, just not one I really follow or care about.
