North & South is an American Civil War sim where you get decide who the victors will be. Using real-time combat and turn-based strategy, you can face off against the CPU or a human opponent to determine the outcome of the Civil War. In addition to regular combat, you can also rob enemy trains or conquer their forts. Watch out for angry Indians, drunk Mexicans, and thunderstorms.

Syd Lexia: I kinda sucked at the battles, so my favorite part of this game was trying to capture enemy forts.

Rycona: Watch out for the Native American's giant boomerang-like tomahawks.

Dr. Jeebus: This game taught me early on that if you wish hard enough, you can rewrite history. You had your choice of starting the game in any of the years of the Civil War, and the armies you began with would be lopsided one way or the other depending on your choice. I loved starting in 1865, playing as the South, and wreaking havoc north of the Mason-Dixon line.
