Either way, Adventure Island II fucking rules. Valdronius: Master Higgins is back in action in the sequel to the first Adventure Island. This time, however, he has more than just axes at his disposal. This game introduces the dinosaurs companions. If you crack open an egg and find a heart, spade, diamond, or club, you'll get one of four dinosaurs. One spits fire, another shoots stars from its tail, and the other two are for sea and air travel. If you make to the end of the level with a dinosaur or an axe, you can stockpile them and use them later if you want. This game is a great example of how to follow up a hit game, use the same engine, but add a few new things to make it distinct from the previous. |
