Finally, some real content, and it's a MAD take on Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. This could be good. Or maybe not. In the lead-in, they refer to Honey, I Shrunk The Kids as a comedy, which isn't really an accurate assessment of the movie. Sure, you've got smart alecky kids saying sassy things and you've got Rick Moranis mugging for the camera every five minutes and doing his patented "Holy shit, Audrey II wants blood!" face, but those two things do not a comedy make. I don't think HISTK can really be put into any one genre, but if we must assign it one, I think Special Effects-Laden Sci-Fi Adventures That Are Fun For The Whole Family And That Were Really Fucking Awesome When You Were Eight Years Old is probably the best fit. That's the section I found it in at Best Buy anyway. That being said, this piece doesn't seem to be particularly funny. Instead of a biting satire, it reads more like a CliffsNotes version of the movie with a few weak jokes thrown in. By my count, there's exactly one good joke to be found on these pages: "Imagine how stupid dad will feel after spending years trying to get his shrink machine to work, and all he had to do is hit it with a baseball!"
