The Heathcliff Theme Song

Everyone's misheard lyrics at some point in their life, usually because the singer slurred some words together or because the song included words that weren't within the listener's vocabulary. One song which I never quite knew the words to was theme to the Heathcliff cartoon on Nickelodeon. I was aware that my version of the lyrics made no sense, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't hear them differently. So now, just for fun, I'll let you compare and contrast my version of lyrics and the real version.
