Stevie Ray Vaughn
I had to, as much as I love Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn to me is even more of a genius. That and when he did drugs he really did it rough, dissolving an 8 ball of coke into a big mug of Jim Beam and chugging it. Hot damn. Plus he gets the sympathy being dead and all, and not from drugs.
Edit: Where is Jon Petruchi from Dream Theater

All right, the one other guy who voted for Stevie! I figured EVH was gonna win this round hands down, so I might as well throw some love for SRV in the mix.

This is what I was thinking.
"All of these guys in the same first round bracket? NO!"

I went for Beck. I have always enjoyed Van Halen with Diamond Dave, but Eddie's guitar never spoke to me the way that it does to Ross. Beck is just sick. Before you vote against him, make sure you have heard him.

While I was extremely torn between Beck and Vaughn, I had to go with Vaughn, just out of personal taste.

I can't believe Eddie Hazel is winning this round.

I agree with you on Beck there, GP. It was actually a tough decision for me, because the other four guys are also all-time favorites of mine. And Beck is fucking BRILLIANT.

I've always thought that Vaughan was a little better than Beck. But personally, I like Beck better. So I don't know who I would have picked if Eddie wasn't a choice. Probably Beck.

See, that's two different birds right there. Blues and Jazz (with rock elements for both). Similar, but not. Stevie is more comparable to Hendrix and Buddy Guy.
Say..where is Buddy Guy, or BB for that matter. I call a pre-emptive shenanigans (I don't think the brackets are done yet).

Stevie uses a lot of tricks to up his stock too. Maybe it makes him look better than he really is. Not that he isn't awesome either way.
