There is something about this song that I can't seem to get my head around. While the lyrics, guitars and drums aren't anything special, I find myself happy listening to it. In fact I can't seem to get sick of it.
I don't generally think of myself as a troublemaker, so I don't think that I am necessarily relating to the song. What is it?
I am a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE Weezer fan, one of my favorite bands of all time.
I am not so hot on the new album in general, although I feel it is slightly stronger than their last two efforts.
When I want to listen to Weezer I listen to either the Blue Album or Pinkerton, those two albums are the strongest and best written Weezer albums IMO. The lyrics are from the heart and reflect River's (lead singer) adolescence and life experiences, the newer albums are simply generic impersonal pop-rock; nothing special, but still quite catchy (he is good at that).
Anyways, the best song from this album (once again IMO) is actually a B-side from the album called "Miss Sweeney". To me it does the best job of harkening back to that old Weezer sound.
