Saw it last night. Good times. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it being as:

A) It was PG
B) It was produced by Nickelodeon, a channel which about 50/50 these days, if that.

But it was very well done and very funny.

First off I was looking foward to this movie but when I found out the guy was that fatty from the School of Rock I decided to drop the boat. This movie might be funny and good but screw Niclalodean for droping doug and it's other stuff to be replaced by craptackular junk.

Then again kids today just look plan ugly.

I'm totally bewildered by ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you post, but I just had to say something here. And what's with that last comment? That had NOTHING to do with NOTHING! And what's your basis for even saying that in the first place?

Also, Jack Black is awesome.

I'll agree, Regal's posts have been making less and less sense than usual lately. Not so much the grammar, but the sheer ignorance of pop culture, reality, and sanity.

Actually, I'm not in total non-agreeability with Regal. The stuff on Nickelodeon does blow compared to Doug. I assume he brought that up because Syd brought up Nick.

Having said that, I hope I haven't "dropped the boat" on being able to call Regal a simpleton.

Okay, just saw Nacho. It was indeed funny. I give it approval.

Though I wish the movie had followed its Hollywood-structure breaking formula throughout the rest of the film. It breaks it the minute... um, a certain Armageddon actor shows up. But then things start making sense again once there's a fire.

I hope that was vague enough.

I can't see Nacho Libre because because it's not being brought up here. I'm not sure why. They also did this with Napoleon Dynamite, coincidentally (ha) enough. I'm going to have to go downstate or into Canada to see it.

Hey dudes, short time reader, first time poster...

I was wondering if this Nacho Libre is the same one I saw....I had a very hard time trying to find things I thought were actually funny in this movie. I won't say them because I don't want to potentially ruin the only two parts I enjoyed for others.

I thought the obligatory farts were funny, I like that shit...but it just seemed like the movie was full of Jack Black's Tenacious D tricks except for they were toned down for kids. The movie gave me a few little chuckles but I only got good laughs at the "What the fuck!?" moments when something totally random happened. One involved an eyesocket and a big hole...

Okay those were the two parts I said I wasn't gonna say but atleast thats in a way that it won't ruin anything.

Anyway, I wasn't impressed.

Was it as good as Wedding Crashers or The 40 Year Old Virgin? No. But I thought it was still pretty damn entertaining. If I wasn't a wrestling fan, maybe I wouldn't have.

As an anti-Crashers, I have to say Nacho was more enjoyable to watch. Funny scale? Eh, Anchorman has them both beat.

And Virgin wins any contest. Wink

Yeah I don't know...the whole movie i tried to convince myself I was enjoying it, I even said it was okay, now I think it was just bad....when I say bad I give it a 6 out 10...not like a 2,3 or 4. Those numbers are reserved for the X-Men movies.

Oooooh. I like this person if only for this quote. This is because the X-Men movies seem to be more Hollywood, and the comic presence doesn't pull me in. I never really read comics and I really never got into X-Men otherwise. I like Patrick Stewart, and that's really the only saving grace for me... I think.
