The Beatles vs. The Stones, because it's not a cliche argument AT ALL

Let It Be track listing:
1. "Two of Us"
2. "Dig a Pony"
3. "Across the Universe"
4. "I Me Mine"
5. "Dig It"
6. "Let It Be"
7. "Maggie Mae"
8. "I've Got a Feeling"
9. "One After 909"
10. "The Long and Winding Road"
11. "For You Blue"
12. "Get Back"

Let It Bleed track listing:
1. "Gimme Shelter"
2. "Love in Vain"
3. "Country Honk"
4. "Live with Me"
5. "Let It Bleed"
6. "Midnight Rambler"
7. "You Got the Silver"
8. "Monkey Man"
9. "You Can't Always Get What You Want"

I've got to give this one to the Stones. Any album that starts with "Gimme Shelter" and ends with "You Can't Always Get What You Want" is auto-win. Plus, it's just a better album in general. The only really weak track is the country version of "Honky Tonk Women". But as far as blatant filler goes, it's still not horrible.

In the day and age of iTunes and mp3's, I just switched out "Country Honk" with "Honky Tonk Women," and the album kicks slightly more ass. I've never heard all of Let It Be aside from the obvious select few.

I've only heard the obvious tracks, but Bleed is the clear winner here. I hate the Wall of Sound though, so I'm a little biased.

Really? I loved the orchestaration on "Long & Winding Road." When I heard Naked, I was kinda bummed that it was gone, but learned to love it anyway cos it was the way McCartney wanted it...I guess.

It's too cloudy for me. I like a really clear, loud mix, like the DLR-era Van Halen albums or GNR's albums. Even Sgt. Pepper's has all this crazy shit going on, but is very clear. I can't think of any other words to describe it.

I believe McCartney did too, hence the release of Let It Be... Naked.

Perhaps we should be talking about Let it Be...Naked vs. Let It Bleed instead?

Either way, Let It Bleed wins for me, if only in favorite song count (4 to 3)

I'm going to take Let It Bleed, also, despite my glaringly obvious Beatles fetish. While "I Me Mine" and the title track are a couple of my favorite songs ever, and although most of Let It Bleed was recorded without Brian Jones, the Stones made a stronger album here. I personally find it more cohesive than Let It Be.

Plus, the album cover for Let It Bleed is much more awesome.
