From all the information I have gathered, that you have said mind you, this movie is about a runner, and there is an awesome cast? That does sound GOOD!
I'm sorry for coming off as a sarcastic asshole but maybe if you gave a little more information, rather then just posting a Title and then saying you like it...you knowwhat I'm getting at?

let me elaborate....
the movie's about steve prefontaine, he broke a lot of records in late 60's early 70's, and suffered a tragic death in car accident when he was 24. he was in the 72 olympics. the story just kinda shows his college years up until his death.
jared leto, R. lee ermey, ed o'neill, breckin meyer were the cast highlights.

Thank you! Now that I know a little more about it I might track it down and watch it, unless it was a made for TV movie.

i would definitely recommend it. it's not made-for tv. also, a year later, Without Limits came out, which is another take on his life. i haven't seen that one though. I probably won't, either, since i liked this so much. i'm pretty sure i'd go into it with the wrong attitude.
oh yea, i forgot to mention that Prefontaine has a great soundtrack, if you like classic rock.

I was kind of confused here. I thought you were going for "pre-fontaine" .... like, before GP Fontaine showed up on the forums. Then I realized which forum this was posted in. And I got more confused. Then I realized we're talking about a movie.
I think I need some sleep.

All I remember is the scene where they play Tuesday's Gone...oddly enough, that's my favorite scene in both Happy Gilmore and Dazed and Confused as well
Anyway, yeah I remember really liking the movie

I thought this thread was about Sydlexia's Pre-GPFontaine days.
