This is probably the first and only time I'll start a thread in this forum. 8D
ElfQuest is a comic started in 1978 (!!!) about a tribe of elves called the Wolfriders, lead by their chief Cutter, and the tribe's attempts to handle the murderous humans who fear them while searching for and uniting other groups of elves. It really is an amazing story (the original series spans 8 graphic novels) that contained violence and sexuality considered shocking during the time it came out. You can read the original 8 graphic novels on the ElfQuest.com website (or I'll link you lazy people to the online comics
here - start with the "original quest" and read through "seige at blue mountain" and "kings of the broken wheel")
During the 30 years ElfQuest has been around (and yes, they're still publishing on occasion - they released a 4-issue mini-series just a few years ago) the creators have tried many, many times to get it made into a movie. 30 years of trying must really take a toll.... but it looks like they've finally succeeded.

I'm
stoked. And if you read the series you'd know why. It also helps that I'm friends with the editor.
