I guess they were okay back before they became that "fuck you like an animal" group (or so all the cheerleaders in high school called them). But "The Fragile" was just weak and they've been kind of insignificant since then, though I admire Trent Reznor's willingness to utilize the internet effectively.

I think one of the main reasons why Nine Inch Nails is misunderstood is because everyone knows them by "that fuck you like an animal group". The song that lyric is from ("Closer") isn't even one of their best and I don't think it's a good representation of the band.

NiN's hit or miss for me. As in, I either will turn off a song after twelve seconds, or I will be embarrassed to find that I just publicly gritted my teeth and banged my head forward singing "The Perfect Drug" in my head.

But, I will say that they have gotten quite gay. Or, maybe it's just Trent Reznor who has gotten gay.

Eh, the freaking Worcester show has been postponed, which I sort of saw coming. Trent sounded iffy when we talked to the crowd last night. Oh well. Show #12 will have to wait until November.
