[rant]So I stop into the Country Fair, where I grab a pop for work and needed some smokes as well, when I saw it. Mountain Dew has 3 new flavors and they are letting the customers pick which one will be a mainstay.
I figured what the hell, I'll try one, I got a bottle of SuperNova, it's Mountain Dew with Strawberry, Melon & Ginseng. To me it just tastes a lot like Amp without the sudden burst of Energy. Why can't they just make a pop/soda that tastes good anymore. I don't want Ginseng in my drink, Live Wire (the orange one) was the last Mountain Dew they brought out that was any good. All the rest have been atrocious failures in my eyes.[/rant]

Live Wire helped keep the Halo 1 Lan Party going until the sun came up. Everytime I drink it I think of playing Sidewinder Capture the flag and killing my friends. SIGH* Good times.

I have never even seen LiveWire, if it is orange flavoured, then I am on board. I'm not sure if they sell it in Canada, that, or my town just sucks ass.

It is indeed Orange, I still prefer original over everything else though.

Let us not forget Blue Shock Mountain Dew which was only available in a slurpee from 7-11, Pitch Black which was a black grape followed by Pitch Black II that was sour grape (a favorite of mine), Baja Blast only available at Taco Hell, and Game Fuel which was like LiveWire but with a Cherry Twist to comemorate Halo 3's release.

I try my hardest to forget those, I never had Blue Shock and I heard many a people call Game Fuel some form of medicine. Also never heard of Pitch Black II. They should just make a Mountain Dew II "Now with more caffeine and sugar!"

I can't stand LiveWire or Pitch Black (both versions). Baja Blast is OK, Code Red is an awesome chaser to regular Dew, and Amp is pretty good.

Original and Diet are amazing, LiveWire and Code Red are great too. Pitch Black sucks and Baja Blast is nearly the worst soda I have ever had. I dont really do energy drinks so I have never had MDX. Im a diet pepsi guy. I do like java monster though

My friends were really hyper one night back in high school and decided to try mixing every single flavor of Mountain Dew they could get their hands on and then drinking that together (yes, they even went to Taco Bell and got Baja Blast). They took bets on what color it would be when they were done mixing it all up (besides being flat). I don't remember the color (purple I think?), but they all got sick from drinking it and it made their vomit rather interesting/disgusting.
That aside, Mountain Dew is so damn sweet that I get sugar rushes off it.

I used to be hooked on the code red. The orange one was OK. I only tried pitch black and baja once each and they definitely sucked. I've always been more of a coke drinker personally, but I've given up soda since the beginning of the year. It wasn't easy cause I've been drinking at least a can a day for like 8 years, but I'm glad I dropped the habit. It's pretty awful for you.

I've only had Baja Blast twice and both times the soda machine was dispensing way too much water and not nearly enough syrup. Or is it just supposed to taste like mildly carbonated pool water?

My favorite has to be Pitch Black II. But if you don't like grape, you won't like it. Game Fuel is good too, not medicine at all. I love energy drinks too, but it depends on which ones. Original AMP is good, love Rockstar, I also have some of the Cocaine energy drink, they had banned it from the market but now is back. I have a few cans left from a case I bought of it, not too bad, but tastes like Atomic Fireballs, so it is the first Energy Drink to give me heartburn, not so good that way, though really picks you up, 350% stronger then redbull. check out www.energyfiend.com for the stats of anything you can think of in regard to caffeine and like substances.

I have finally tasted all 3 flavors on the Dewmocracy tour. They were 3 for $1 or something like that at the store. Supernova is by far the worst. I tastes like a liquid form of stale watermelon bubbalicious gum. Revolution wasn't too bad, really chemical tasting form of berry, not like Mountain Dew isn't already very chemical heavy in taste and composition. I really did like Voltage though. It was like a blue raspberry code red of sorts. Very sweet, but not too sickening that it made you feel gross. Very good overall, it's what I voted for.

When I worked for Wal-Mart, I used to take original Mountain Dew, Code Red, and Livewire (and Pitch Black when it was around) and mix them together into seperate two liters (stired, not shaken). I always had some in the fridge in the lounge. I called it Dewicide. I used to drink the hell out of that stuff. Now that it has been brought up, I may have to go score some of each and make some here at home. I've got a two gallon water cooler in the fridge that would be perfect for it (a lot easier than seperating it into two liter bottles).
I never added diets or AMP or anything because I wanted it to actually taste good. I didn't care for completion or the shock value of me doing it. I never used Baja Blast because I always used equal parts. I got a discount on my two-liters, so I could make it for failry cheap. I didn't want to have to pay that much for equal portion of Baja Blast. Plus I didn't want to go to Taco Bell everytime I wanted to make it.
I didn't even realize they had this Dewmacracy thing until I read about it here. I'm going to have to give them a try. I had quit drinking soda pop (I did it for Johnny...sorry, bad joke). But I've recently fallen off the wagon. So I might as well go all out.

As have I and I pretty much agree; Supernova is terrible, Revolution was ok but nothing special and Voltage was actually pretty good.

There's this Mexican restaurant that I frequent that sells some Mexican soda. But I can't remember the brand. One of the flavors is exactly the same color as a margarita. So when one of my buddies was still underage, he would get one and then we'd get a pitcher and keep refilling his bottle.
