My local news station has this comercial they run where you can text the word WEATHER to their website and it will text you back what the weather is.

Now first off I live in Washington, so either it's going to rain, or it allready is raining, it hardly every snows and hardly ever gets hot, so just bring a coat and if your a pussy bring an umbrella, thats all you really need to do.

Second thing that pisses me off, the woman in the comercial is outside with the wind blowing in her hair and a gray overcast sky is clearly visible while she stares at her phone. Why does she need to check with her phone, could she instead perhaps LOOK UP?

What's the deal with everybody trying to get you to text nowadays? Radio stations TV shows, everyone wants you to text them. Fuck you I say, texting is stupid. Mad

Also I keep hearing about upcoming laws where it will be a ticketable offence if you talk on your phone or text while driving, anyone caught texting while driving should have their phone permantly installed in their colon.

Word.
It would take almost 2 minutes to text "Where are you going?" on a phone but less then 2 seconds to just say it to someone. Texting to get a vote for a song or some other bullshit like a joke or love advice is just stupid. Since you have to pay for this as well it is even more retarded.

Computer or phone? Pick a side we're at war! Razz

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

Back when I had a standard phone with just a numeric keypad, I hated txting because it just took too damn long to write messages and I never bothered learning the predictive txt method. Once you have a phone with a good qwerty keyboard, it's a different story though. I can type up messages almost as quickly on my blackberry as I can on a computer. I'm not a txt junky by any means, but it is easier and less intrusive to txt someone a quick message sometimes rather than calling. Especially if it's not of the utmost importance. All those txt services are stupid though, I agree. Also, people who pay money to txt their votes in for reality programs and whatnot are completely retarded.

i text all the time. mostly cause i hate talking on the phone (working at a call center will do that to you) and cause i can answer whenever the F i want w/out having to worry about interruptions or such nonsense. so if there is an argument, i cant get interrupted or i can just pass out and answer later. and also, they dont allow me to talk on my cel @ work. so its my only means of communication while @ work.

my bank allows me to text the word 'bal' and i can check my balance on my phone. so thats pretty cool.

The bank one is pretty cool.

"remember to text in your votes before the end of the show, because phone companies make a lot more money if you do!" Rolling Eyes

Phone sex chat? I'm gonna set up a service. "Are you a moron? If so text RETARD? to (insert number here) and we'll let you know!" Surprised

I like texting because it's cheaper, and I've had many a late night convo with ladies while lying in bed.

It sucks though because I always use perfect grammar, so I send a lot more texts than anyone else.

Does anybody here have a Ross Rifle?
