Anyone listen to them? Their 2002 debut Reinventing Axl Rose generated some buzz within the punk community and among elderly music critics who still think the Sex Pistols were the greatest band ever, but aside from the name, it failed to capture my interest.

I was recently given their most recent album, New Wave, and it's actually pretty cool. It's more pop-oriented like The Ramones, or the punk of the early 90s, and I kinda dig it. Apparently a song from it, "Thrash Unreal", has gotten some radio play, but damned if I've heard it. But it is a good song.

Thrash Unreal and Stop! gets radio play in LA. New Wave is a great album, especially when compared to most of the stuff that came out in 2007.

The new girl at work has Thrash Unreal as her myspace profile song. It's ok.

Not as good as Submission by the Sex Pistols, though. Boooooo syd

Saw them open for the Foo Fighters live on 2/21. They weren't half bad. They were energetic if nothing else. Sounded sort of H20ish with a modern flair.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.
