Last night I was watching CSI Miami. It was the one where Eric gets shot in the head. At some point during the show they are discussing his injury and how he had a subdural hematoma.

Sure enough as the DVR'd program ends Jeopardy comes on and the first question is reviled to be what is "subdural hematoma".

My wife was amazed when I got it correct prior to the contestants. She then felt silly when I asked her if she was watching the previous hour of TV where they went into detail about subdural hematomas.

So the next question's answer was "Rikki Tikki Tavi". That made me think of Tiki Tiki Tembo.

And now, here ya go.

I can't see the video (don't have the plug in at school), but is that a reference to:

Rikki Tikki Tembo no sa rembo chari bari ruchi pip peri pembo?

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

Rikki Tikki Tavi is the title of a short story belonging to "The Jungle Book".

Tiki Tiki Tembo is name of a story about two boys. One boy is named Tikki tikki tembo-no sa rembo-chari bari ruchi-pip peri pembo while the other is named Chang.

Other than how they sound, they are unrelated.

The crazy thing is I haven't heard that story since I was in Grade School. (Probably 2nd or 3rd Grade.) And, to this day, I have never forgotten his full name.

Holy shit. I remember this.

I remember Rikki-Tikki-Tavi as well. Rikki Tikki Tavi taught me how to beat King's Quest V.

Also, when I saw the subject line, I thought this was going to be a Hamtaro thread.

I could still remember the whole name too. I remember it from when I was a little kid. But I think I may have seen it a few years ago on a rerun of Reading Rainbow.

Yes, I am in my late 20s.
No, I won't tell you what I was doing watching Reading Rainbow only a few years ago. Embarrassed

Wasn't Rikki Tikki Tavi about a mongoose? Or am I thinking of something else?

It was a mongoose, that for some reason decided to protect some english imperialists. He slaughters a bunch of cobras, and for his actions was made an honorary G.I. Joe.
