Even though people like HHH and Vince get most of the spotlight on WWE programming, it appears that they are still pushing deserving talent quite well.
According to a list of who had the most televised wins in 2007, CM Punk came in 1st with 48, and Jeff Hardy took 2nd place with 44 wins. HHH wasn't even in the top ten. (Though, the fact that he was out most of the year due to injury, probably explains why.)
Also, WWE has announced 2008's DVD releases:
* The Legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin - 02/12/2008
* Triple H: King of Kings - 03/25/2008
* Evolution of the Hardys - 05/06/2008
* The Rock - 06/03/2008
* Best of Starrcade - 07/08/2008
* Summer Slam Anthology - 08/05/2008
* Life and Times of Mr. Perfect - 08/05/2008
* Edge - 11/04/2008
* Randy Savage: Macho Madness - 11/18/2008
* Sting - 12/09/2008
The last two are the most notable.
Randy Savage is finally once again being acknowledged by the WWE! Hopefully this will be more like Bret Hart's recent DVD and acually have input and commentary from Savage, and less like Ultimate Warriors where the company just shits on them. (Though, "Randy Savage - The Madness of The Macho Man" would be a great title.)
Also, take it for what it's worth, but the WWE is releasing a Sting DVD. Which may mean, they are still in talks with Stinger. Or, it could mean, that they have a crapload of WCW Sting footage, and just want to make some extra money off it.
And, Personally, I am looking forward to the The Curt Hennig (One of my wrestling heroes) & Best Of Starrcade DVDs. It would be great to have some classic Flair/Sting, Flair/Rhodes, 80s Flair/Anybody matches on DVD.

Sting just signed a contract extension with TNA, which is at least a year in duration. Since the DVD is coming around the time a one year contract extension would expire, maybe they're hoping to court him by the end of the year. I doubt he'll sign though, so the DVD is probably just extra money.
As for the Warrior DVD, the story I heard was that he wanted nothing to do with Vince or the DVD, so Vince buried him.
Best of Starcade could be cool, and I can't wait for the Savage DVD.

According to a thing Warrior wrote about that Self-Destruction DVD, the agreement was that he would appear on the WWE DVD in exchange for Vince and Linda appearing on some project he was working on (not sure what it was, exactly). They started work on the DVD and then backed out of the agreement, so he backed out, and they changed it to a smear program. They can try to say that it was an accurate representation of how he was or whatever, but when they even manage to make Jake Roberts' "demons" sound like some minor thing...
Anyway, the Perfect DVD NEEDS to have all the sports promos, and if it doesn't, that's an injustice. That set should be awesome, though. Macho Man's, too, since I'm sure they own all the tapes for the pre-WWF stuff he did as well as the WCW stuff. As long as they don't smear him too...

Where's The DVD entitled, "Lanny Poffo - A REAL Genius"?
It could talk about how Lanny was stuck in the mid cards in the WWE doing stupid gimmicks, and then how he used his amazing real Genius powers to get a WCW contract, where he never once appeared on TV or in a ring and was paid $150,000 a year.
On second thought, maybe they could just throw that bit of info in on Randy's DVD, since he's the one who helped Lanny get the WCW job.

I wish they had an itunes-ish store thing where you could buy matches and promos, or buy entire episodes. Like 24/7 except not streaming BS. It'd be cool to buy random promos... like an hour of nothing but Genius poems!

That Hardy Boys one Excites me the most. Nothing beats good ol' fashioned tag teams.

Is there already a Best of Halloween Havoc DVD? Steiner/Abdul the Butcher = one of the coolest matches I've ever seen just because it was so different.

The eletric chair match? Cheesy as it was, that was pretty awesome.
If they did a best of Halloween Havoc DVD, I don't know if the WWE would include that. Vince things people want "realistic" storylines. Hell, he recently broke up a tag team because he found out the two guys weren't actually brothers and he felt it "insulted the fans' intelligence" to pretend they were. So he broke them up and gave them both new names...
..you know, because suddenly changing a wrestler's on-screen name and pretending he's someone else DOESN'T insult the fans' intelligence.

I laughed when I read this story earlier today because... uh... Kane and Undertaker, anyone?

Dudley boys? you could even go further and use the Holly's as an example of fake family.

Dudleys are ECW though. I wouldn't count Kevin/Evad Sullivan either, but the Hollys are spot-on.

Does Cena?
Edge has been with the WWE for ten years, and has acheived the following:
WCW United States Championship (1 time)
WWE Championship (2 times)
WWE Tag Team Championship (1 time) - with Rey Mysterio
WWF/E Intercontinental Championship (5 times)
WWF/E World Tag Team Championship (11 times) - with Christian (7), Chris Benoit (2), Hulk Hogan (1), and Randy Orton (1)
World Heavyweight Championship (2 times, current)
King of the Ring (2001)
Mr. Money in the Bank, twice (2005) (2007)
WWE Hardcore Champion (1 time), with Mick Foley
Fourteenth Triple Crown Champion
This is Cena's sixth year in the WWE, and he has only done the following:
WWE Championship (3 times)
WWE United States Championship (3 times)
World Tag Team Championship (1 time) – with Shawn Michaels
And, Cena has a 2-DVD set, so why shouldn't Edge, who is about 100x more talented then Cena?

Because Edge backed Hogan as a fan at WMVI, instead of cheering for (/v\)

Thats right. It was probably in the wwe's best interest to keep them like that for popularity sake.
I think The Bushwhackers were also cousins. And way back in they day they used to stick anyone into the Von Erich family via long lost cousins.
Edge easily deserves his own dvd even if it only chronicles his tag team accolades.
