I know what you mean. It's weird for me because I watched the movie
Moving the night before he died. I just had some urge to watch it, halfly because I hadn't seen it in a long time. It is a sad event for comedy lovers everywhere, unless you're offended by foul-language. Though his comedy was foul sounding, he had a good perspective on life in general, and transfered his life to comedy very well, though it was troubling for him at times. The duo of he and Gene Wilder is one of the greatest comedy movie duos of all-time in my opinion.
The thing I hate most about events like these is that I wish so many other people would die instead of the one who does die. I mean, he was older, so it's not so bad, but this kind of goes back to the Eddie Guerrero thing, i.e. those who die before their time. Luckily, Pryor had his time and was able to embrace it, but it's still sad to see him go.
RIP - Richard Pryor
