I've been using Google Chrome for awhile and it's the worst browser I've ever encountered.

-If I open a link in a new tab it's always an exact clone of original page. To see the new page, I have to click on the new tab, then the original tab, then the new tab again before it shows the new page correctly.

-Chrome takes 20-30 seconds to recover after my computer has been asleep.

-If I open more than 3 windows, Chrome crashes.

I thought maybe it was a bad install but I've re-installed 4 different versions and I've completely re-formatted my computer twice but the problems persist. CHROME SUCKS! I'm done with it! No other browsers have those issues. The hierarchy of browsers is as follows:

1- Firefox
2- Internet Explorer
3- Netscape Navigator
4- Every browser that I've never used.
5- Chrome

I've encountered literally none of those problems and it's the fastest browser I've ever used.

Yeah, none of those things happen to me. I'm clicking new tab right now, and it just opens up a blank tab.

Yeah Chrome works better than any other browser for me as well. Firefox had a massive memory leak problem when I last used it and if it got left open too long it would run the computer out of memory pretty quickly. And IE is complete garbage, even Safari is superior to it and I hate Safari.

I had some slowness issues, but that turned out to be the result of a band plugin I'd picked up. Once I fixed it, Chrome returned to being my best browser. Try doing a purge on anything you don't strictly need. That should speed it up.

There's a bunch of little things that bug me about Chrome that have kept me from switching, but it's otherwise a fine browser.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

The only thing I don't like about Chrome is the interface.

Chrome is not fantastic. That said, I have no idea what the OP's issues are.

I use Chrome Canary which seems to be the most stable for me.

However most people I install it on their computer for seem not to like it, especially heavy IE users.

Ok, so Chrome is probably better than Netscape Navigator (That was mostly a joke). It's still way below Firefox and IE which give me no issues. Updated list:

1- Firefox
2- IE
3- Chrome

Firefox and Chrome are pretty good. My old computer has problems running modern programs, including Firefox and Chrome, so maybe the problem is coming from your computer itself.

I generally dislike Chrome for other reasons (read: the company that created it), but in the time I did use it, I usually never had anything near those problems. It did use an absurd amount of RAM, though. I now use Safari since no other browser that isn't Chrome has the same bookmark and tab sync features that Safari does. However, when I am using a Windows machine (or Windows on my MacBook via Boot Camp) I always use Firefox.

I read recently that Firefox is now running better than Chrome for the first time in years. They both use a fair amount of resources, although in my experience, Firefox uses more RAM while Chrome creates more processes. I would say they are about equal. I switch back and forth when one seems to be running worse than the other.

As for IE... the latest one was working great for me, and then one day it was all fucked up for some reason I could never figure out. I tried reinstalling, which did jack shit, and then discovered that in order to remove the installation, I had to enter some not easy to find commands in the command prompt, which is COMPLETE FUCKING BULLSHIT.

I like the browser that comes prepackaged with Lightweight Portable Security, and it's a Firefox build if I'm not mistaken.

However I don't always end up getting to boot a live OS from flash on every computer in every situation, so like at work or when someone is really particular about what I do on their PC I use Chrome if Firefox is not available, and if Chrome isn't an option I suck it up and use IE.

(I've never met anyone who uses anything more esoteric like Ice Weasel or Tor Browser or Dragon or Opera or Maxthon or insert browser 99% of people have never heard of here.)

Chrome is the easiest to figure out and customize, and I like the minimalist look you can get with it, but then again you can set that up in any browser with enough fiddling around.

Firefox is the most flexible I've used but the fiddling around to get my preferred setup is a little more involved, or at least feels that way to me.

IE is dead last choice for me, but I don't whine or complain when I have to use it, I've just never liked it, seems like the newer browsers are easier to tweak/uninstall, IE kind of roots it self in place and I've never found customizing it to be fast or simple, but hey that's just my opinion.
