The Y can't metroid crawl one was almost certainly a troll, people on 4chan have been calling Samus "Metroid" forever. The rest were innocent and dumb enough to be believable though.

Why can't Link jump? Seriously, in the first Zelda game Link can't jump! Must be a glitch.

I took this photo last January. It's one of my favorites.
Also, last month a local library hosted a gaming day where people set up a bunch of consoles and computer systems in a spare room, some of which were old 386s. Some kids actually had a time with the DOS and Windows 3.1 games.

I only really got stuck on one part in Brinstar, but it had me stuck for years until I could look up an online guide. Basically, there's a section where you have to use the run button to move across a crumbling platform. Easy enough, if you know that the run button exists in the first place. But my family had a video store and bought used games to rent out, so I had no manual, and the game kind of trusts you to have read the manual to figure out the controls.

The manual is in the Home menu. These kids have no excuse.

All right, the old school (blue collar) games are coming back! Probably because no one can afford the newer shit in this economy.

Not only does that Atari, the television, its table and couch give me flashbacks of my younger gaming years... that carpet gives me flashbacks of my not-quite-as-young acid taking years.
Are those arcade machines in the background? It's like my first introduction to weed all over again.
Is it weird that retro gaming and drug taking are so deeply linked in my psyche?
