Well, there aren't really any rules about it because, well, why would you need those rules? But, part of the ritual was not just the cutting itself, but the fact that the state of being circumcised was a sign that set Hebrew males apart from their pagan neighbors.
So yeah, Wolverine can't do that.

Well, not anymore. That was just my historical reasoning for why a state of being circumsized was integral to the whole affair.
So I don't think Sabretooth could convert to Judaism either. Ironically, nothing seems to be stopping Lady Deathstrike.

Apparently when Hugh Jackman got the acting gig as Wolverine in X-men, he did a bunch of research on wolves to really get into the headspace of Wolverine. When he shared this with the director, the director went "What?" No, The wolverine is a real animal Hugh. It's not something related to wolves"
