Looks pretty cool to me and I'll be buying it the second it comes out. Changing how culture works and how you win culture victories apparently. Hopefully they overhaul diplomacy and the AI even more than the last expansion so the AI isn't so fucking stupid.

Ask to straight up trade a luxury resource they need for one you need and they are like "Hell no, give me three luxury resources, 30 gold per turn, and open borders or no deal." And that's when you are friendly with each other, you can't even get them to offer you anything half the time below friendly other than threats they can't back up because they have no idea how to use a navy. Hell two ships and three ranged units can generally hold a city indefinitely on Prince difficulty because they don't understand tactics, they just zerg swarm and once that first push is gone their army is nearly wiped out and you can freely march a small one to capture all their cities and workers before they can rebuild. Take two or three cities and the AI will almost always give you one or two more just to get a peace treaty. At least they learned how to do sneak attacks and how to pretend to be friendly to put you off your guard in G&K.

I think the civ games have always been like that. I still play civ3 on and off, and in my current run through of the Rhyse global map, I'm constantly trading two or three luxuries for one of my missing luxuries, plus a few gold per turn. So ridiculous.

Yeah they have. You'd think they'd have figured out how to fix it by now.
